Some time ago the question of dressing up the index page with special effects would be detrimental. Search Engines such as Google would not be able to read the code. With the new Sitebulder having all the bells and whistles it is very tempting to use all that is available. The question I have is, does the same thing apply in the way of too many items on the index page?

Hey Les6064

That should not be an issue, no. The only thing we really recommend is to make your content matter, and make sure you have organic content to help boost your SEO outside of that. . They recommend 300-500 words per page with 3-4% keyword saturation. Adding "special effects" should not negatively affect your site.

Thank you Elyzabeth for your reply. I am so pleased with the new website builder. The only thing I notice is, when transferring the old sites to the new format make sure the Homesteadcloud is part of the URL to have the SSL certificate automatically.

Yes, for now only the .homesteadcloud.com site names are automatically secured. Hopefully very soon, we will be able to launch our automatic SSLs on our Website Builder domains.
