No, your website and other online services will continue to work as expected, with no disruption in service. Your pricing will stay the same as well.

Oh my God! When your Social Media Specialist says "However, the way customers access your website will, and you may need to make some changes to accommodate this.

YOUR WEBSITE ADDRESS MAY BE CHANGING
If visitors currently access your site at yoursite.intuitwebsites.com, the new site address will be yoursite.homestead.com" , the MAY IN THESE SENTENCES ARE AN UNDERSTATEMENT! Do you realize how much added cost this means to website owners like me, to change my www._____.com to www.__________.homestead.com???? Is this normal procedure or just another strategy to get more website owners to use your "specialized" services? According to Mike F.'s post, this announcement was made 23 days ago, yet I just received email notification lesss than 23 minutes ago. I'd like to know others' thoughts on how this affects them and their businesses.

Note: This topic was created from a reply on the Announcement: Intuit Websites transition to Homestead topic.

Sorry for the confustion, but I'm afraid you misunderstand the change. If you have your own registered domain name, you don't need to take any action. This really just effects users that do not have their own domain name and are using "sitename.intuitwebsites.com"

I initially had the same reaction as bettysbbqs - then realized it probably doesn't affect those of us that have our own domain names. May want to add that information to your FAQ. Most of us users know just enough about this stuff to be dangerous. Thanks!

I knew NOTHING about this until my website stopped working. I am really disappointed in intuit/homestead and am looking for another venue to use - however I'm sure they have made it equally as paintful to leave as it is to stay

HI Donna, refer to the other thread you posted to. The issue was with your domain being in a "client hold" status. It is not related to the Intuit transition.

I own www,keiproducts.com, which is currently pointed at www.poweralt.com.
Do I need to do anything? I transfered KEI from another hosting service.

If you have always used these two domains, and never the site name then you'll be ok. This only affects people that used their site name for the items mentioned in this thread: https://community.homestead.com/homes...

The problem in this case is with the domain itself. Below is the Whois record. As you can see it is in a Client Hold status. You should be able to contact the domain registrar to clear it up.

If this post helps, please give a "Star" and complete this survey to rate me.

Thanks!

Now the status does show "OK" instead of "hold". When the domain goes to hold status the dns record are not accessible. When the domain is renewed the dns records have to re-propagate which can take up to 24 hours. It's most likely it will start working sometime today.
