• Your store can be placed on Facebook, to take advantage of your social networking fans.
• With Bigcommerce, there’s really good integration with the App Store, like Doba, QuickBooks, and Constant Contact, plus many others.
• You will now have access to use FedEx, USPS, UPS, and your own calculated shipping all at the same time if you wish, and also cleanly restrict shipment to areas you don’t want to ship to (i.e. international). There are also configurations for many international shippers.
• Bigcommerce doesn’t directly support subscriptions, affiliates, and drop shipping. However, Bigcommerce has an open API and large App Store. You may be able to find 3rd party applications that you can add to your store that may replace these features.

Not sure I understand this. Most of the products I offer are drop shipped from the manufacture or designer. Are you saying that Bigcommerce doesn't allow this?

The old Prostores system has a feature that will send email/order notifications directly to the drop-shipper when an order is placed. The Bigcommerce system does not have this feature. You can of course still drop-ship, but you will have have your own system of forwarding the orders to the shipper.

All of our products are drop shipped from several manufacturers across the US. We order the products directly when customers buy products.
We use a flat rate shipping on items shipped in the 48 states. Will we still be able to do this?

If you order the products direct, then yes. One of the few features that the new system does not have is a drop-shipper notification. But if you didn't use that, then you should be able to continue like normal.

Merry Christmas,
First let me say that I'm not opposed to change. So I hope this does work out for the best. I agree that the timing is not helpful on our end and the amount of preparation time for the consumers is not adequate.

We are a non-profit organization and use Prostores mainly for processing monthly donations via subscriptions. We are not big but we still process about over $10,000/month in donations on this site. SEO is not a concern for us because our main website is where we are branded and searchable.

The only reason we decided to purchase our webstore was because we were looking for seamless integration of monthly subscriptions into Quickbooks. So does this transition mean:
1. Will we be unable to process subscriptions beginning January 1, 2014?

2. Do we lose all of our stored subscription information from our hundreds of donors?

3. Your comments reads "You might be able to find 3rd party apps". Might is not helpful when we stand to lose significant monthly donations at the drop of a hat. Is there any way you can tell us which 3rd party apps "will be able to" process subscriptions?

4. We only received our first notification of this change via email on December 20th. How are we able to access our new site before the December 31st deadline so that we can start working on the 3rd party plugins to get subscriptions running? We will essentially be out of business until we can get a third party solution integrated.

5. We already have two Facebook pages, are you suggesting that you will create a third page or can you integrate it into a page that already exists?

6. If Big Commerce does not have a solution for us that works what is the refund policy?

1) Currently subscriptions would have to be configured in your payment processor's virtual terminal.

2) You can export all historical data from the old Store.

3) At this time we are not aware of a specific application that fulfils this need, though some people will be setting up their payment processor for this task.

4) I am sorry, we have been sending out emails since September, I am not sure why you didn't receive them. You can go to this link. Use the forgot password button. The user name is admin.

5) I am not sure what you mean by 2 Facebook pages, but you can install an application that will place a useable version of your store on to Facebook. It will create a shopping page on Facebook.

6) If we no longer fit your needs, then I would suggest calling support or opening an online chat to discuss the closure and refunds.
