I looked on community advice and saw Mike recommended a change to Chrome where there were publishing problems, did that, then I was required  turn on 'Allow Pop Ups' and even then, twice I had to 'Kill' and reload to publish. Found some of the text I had updated had reverted. It seems I have to overcome a new problem every time I want to update. What is going on?
What is infuriating, I just did a review recently where I said how reliable Homestead had been lately!

Have you tried a "refresh"?
F5 = Refresh. If that doesn't work, use Shft/Ctrl/Delete.
Using this procedure intermittently provides solutions to cache and cookie related interference. A browser works by downloading a page to your computer. Browsers will then show the page from your computer as opposed to downloading it every time you visit the page. This speeds up the process and lessens the traffic on the Internet. Depending on the browser, it will periodically check the website for a new version of the page and download it if it has changed. If you don't see a change that you expect, then press F5. That tells the browser to go to the site and download the page now.

To add onto what themieleman was saying, also be sure to hit Save if you need to before each publish to verify you have saved your current edits. Are you still experiencing issues with publishing your website?

Had a very frustrating morning. I am now using Chrome (I prefer Firefox) and allowing Pop ups (Never required before). . I did all the things you both kindly suggested . F5 , no, and shift ctrl delete, is the same as the 'Kill' offered by the now familiar screen - reload .Usually after reloading, I can publish. Today on the 'Kill 'screen a message came up asking for problems so hopefully someone is fixing things. I am worried that this latest problem is a result of the introduction of the new enhanced programme  but many of us faithfuls will want to stay with something familiar.Have you any cheer to offer?  Best wishes Audrey

Are you using the desktop version or Sb+ .....Pop up shouldn't really affect much and I use Firefox without issues.Likewise what OP system are you using?

Sorry Audrey, I used to use desktop for many years then a few years back changed to Sitebuilder+ which is an online builder.. It is a marked improvement over desktop and unless you have data limits or want to edit "off line" would suggest you give it some thought. Homestead have just launched a third version Websitbuilder but that,s having some teething problems.. Please wait for a tech to give you the official response but quite a few Desktop issues have been solved with a fresh install of the programme.

I am showing 3 pages published today. Is it possible that you leave the computer for 15 minutes or so? If that is the case, Sitebuilder will time out.

Yes Drew it does Publish BUT only after I have reloaded either via 'Kill' or logged out.
In both cases I have to start from Log on point. I should have made that clearer. I can publish but only after 1 oPT FOR Chrome 2 Allow Pop ups 3 Reload after Save.
This makes updating very tedious.. What has changed with the system we have had for the last year at least?

Can you tell me when you are logged out? I will see if I can clean up the server cache for you. Sitebuilder Plus can have some issues with sites over a 1000 pages. Assuming, of course that is the site having the issue.

Dear Drew - you either have sorted or miracles happen. Published with Firefox with no snags. Thank you

Miracle shortlived. Cannot publish with all the adjustments I have made.
Back to square one. I thought a few months of trouble free access was too good to last.

Hi Audrey1969, have you tried to publish the pages from your File Manager? I know there is a long list of files, but this has been helpful for some. Please let me know.

Thanks Todd H
I will try when next in. I do manage to publish after selecting Chrome, allowing  pop ups, alt. control, del but every page takes around 20 mins or so, if it works at all . This becomes so tedious that I give up with frustration and disappointment

Yeah, definitely let us know what happens when you try to publish from the file manager that way, even if it's just a page or two that needs to be updated, I have noticed this reduces the amount of publishing time by a lot because it is only trying to publish what you are selecting, versus the entire website as a whole.

Not quite sure whatyou meant but did choose the page I wanted to update from File Manager and then same procedure ie Chrome, Allow pop ups, OOPs del/ali/shift, OOps came up , repeated alt /shift /del, Oops came up. sat back and waited and waited and eventually the page published but very tedious and no pleasure.
Dear Drew - is there anything you can do or recommend?
