Why are changes appearing on all of my pages?

If you made changes to a page, but the change is showing
up on all pages, you need to edit the area of the page that appears on
all your pages. The yellow bar at the top of the page indicates you are
making changes that will appear on every page in your site. For example,
you would want your logo on every page but you probably don't want a
map of how to get to your business on every page. Follow the steps below
to undo changes that were made to all of your pages. You can easily see
everything that appears on a specific page, compared to what appears on
all pages. For more information, go to Can I show only the items that appear on all of my pages?.

  1. Click the heading icon on the toolbar.

  1. Click the element (like a text box, image,
map, or video) that is appearing on all your pages. When you select the
element, you will see a yellow or blue box around it.

  • If the box is yellow, the element is on every page.

  • If the box is blue, the element is only on the page you are currently working on.

To delete elements that are appearing on every page, you will only delete items that have yellow boxes around them.

  1. Click Cut in the toolbar.

  1. Click Return to Page.

  1. Make sure you are on the page that you want to place the element on. Click Paste.

  1. Repeat as needed.

You are using an older template and do not have a master page. That is why you do not see it.

Is there a way to fix this that does nor require a website redo

It is an issue of design, not something that can be fixed. The older templates do not have a master page. Changing templates requires a redesign of the site.

Anything you put on the master page will be on all pages. You can turn the master page off for a page, but then you have to manually place other elements onto that page manually, like the navigation menu. You could also remove that image from the master page, and add the image manually to each of the other pages

So how do I turn off a master page for one page? I am using a NEW template and it does not have the yellow bar either. If I delete the main homepage (master) element on following pages, it changes it on all of them, including the Homepage.

The new templates are using the new Homestead Websitebuilder. It is not related to Sitebuilder or Sitebuilder Plus. Which site are you working on and what change did you make? If it is in the header section, then it will appear on all pages.

I am having trouble with this please help! I am using website builder and need a couple of pages that do not look like the rest of my pages. If I delete the header and footer it deletes it on every page. I do not have the yellow bar as seen above.  I don't have a heading icon or anything like that to click. How can I turn off the settings for these pages? I am using the new website builder.

At this time anything placed in the header or footer will display on all pages.

You can turn it off on the page settings. Unfortunately, it sounds that you have already added content to the master page. Which site is the issue? We can take a look for you.

Go to the settings for that section. On the size and position, turn off the option to show on all pages.

You fixed it. Thanks
How do I do this?  I added something to another page and it overwrote what was on the home page.
