Where did all the templates go that homestead use to offer? Looks like there's now only one page of website templates to choose from?

I am really disappointed with homestead. I have been using the old version of desktop suitebuilder since 2001 and never received any info from Homesteas about any SitebuilderPLus being available. As a result I my website looks very outdated as far as template goes and I still don't know how I am supposed to access these so called new templates. I am seriously considering leaving Homestead and trying to find a good host that has a desktop sitebuilder with more up to date templates.. I have been following some thread about the using of SiteBuilder Plus. That it is used online to edit one's website. So what happens to my original pages I have with the older version of sitebuilder? Do I lose all those pages and files that are stored there? Would someone please answer these questions. I am fed up getting threads on my emails that have nothing to do with me. Anyone else feeling as disappointed as I am with Homestead?

I too have been a long time Homestead customer and build websites for myself and others. I have a Platinum account that I pay a lot of money for every month. I use the desktop Sitebuilder for mostly everything as most of my sites are of custom design by me. I am starting a new site for someone and they are looking for a specific look, one that I know I have seen in the templates. I went to look for it and like Elizabeth, found there are only a handful of templates to choose from. After reading your reply, I am gathering that ALL of the templates are no longer available to customers that use the desktop Sitebuilder. Is this correct? If so, that is VERY, VERY, VERY disappointing! As I said, for most of the sites I create, I don't even look at the templates. That being said, as a company, I don't really think it's fair, or the right thing to do, to penalize those of us that aren't on the "new Sitebuilder Plus". I tried it, I DON'T like it. Certain functionality disappeared, it does not have all of the capabilities as the downloaded desktop Sitebuilder application. Which by the way, I DO like and even though I was looking for a quick and easy template for the site I am building, I will just start with blank pages and customize it to get it completed. I guess my whole point is....Homestead along with many other companies just make changes to the things that WE, the ones that PAY for it, use. It gets changed to what Homestead wants and is forced on the people that pay the bills without even getting an opinion or asking any questions, it's just done because some developer somewhere, or some "boss" says that people will love it. Homestead has made their name by providing excellent customer service and being all about the customer.....in this case, Homestead has seemed to forget that and have joined the ranks of all the other companies out there that just change for the sake of changing. Just my thoughts, not that they will matter. IF there are ANY plans of dropping the desktop Sitebuilder completely, please let me know, because I will definitely be looking elsewhere for my provider. Like I said, I did the Sitebuilder Plus thing and I don't like it at all, so I know that's not an option for me. Please do not take my comments personally, it just gets frustrating at times. Other than this issue, I have been very pleased with Homestead over the years and as long as I still have the tools that I like, I will continue to be a loyal customer.

I miss the Navigation bar choices that we had on the old site builder.
I miss designing websites with those cute button designs.
I hope that Homestead listens and brings them back.

We do understand that change is hard sometimes. We have been going through it for a year now after the sale from Intuit to EIG. As you said, most everyone is moving their software to the cloud. This is mostly by customer demand. Unfortunately, it isn't always best for everyone. We are doing our best to keep the desktop version going for people like you. The templates included in that version were outdated and didn't make for a good modern looking site, so they were removed.

Sitebuilder Plus will be getting many new features in the next year and will be far more capable than the desktop version is, but we must complete the transition from Intuit first.

I hope they bring back the cute designs they had in the Navigation Menu.

There is an imported image option that allows you to use any image you can find on the Internet,

I don't find any website templates that I would like for my DJ website. I have searched and tried to work with everything currently available but I am not satisfied. Is there a time when new templates will be added?

I don't have a time frame for new templates, but if you select any one of the templates, there will be a pop up window and you can see in the lower left of the pop up a link to start from scratch and you can build your own look.

Thanks

Drew
