My website has been mobilized using duda mobile. When people enter the main url for the site using mobile phones they get to the mobile site without a problem. However when I send a link to a specific page of the web site that has also been mobilized then they get a message on their cell phone that that page does not exist. This happens very regularly. The last person was using an iPhone 6.

Can someone tell me how to fix this problem?

Drew, Would I put this before anything else that in the head tag...or last?

Thanks

Put it at the very top so it is the first thing the browser sees.

Drew,

I added the code to the header of each page with the corresponding mobile page url added to the code. However it only seems to be working for the home page...and then only for the iphone but not for Android. Can you tell me what's wrong? Thanks

After going back and forth with Duda Mobile and being so far unable to get the mobile redirect to work...this is what they are now saying:

  • Hey there. it is the problem with the redirect.

There are 3 ways to redirect a desktop website to a mobile website:
    1. Using JavaScript (like you did, when added the script) - also called client side redirect
    2. Homestead automatic (It didn't work, and I disabled it for now - we can re enable when we will find out the problem)
    3. Using Server side redirect - Editing in the server itself (also called 301 redirect)

What happens is that your website has a server side redirect - It redirects tom.petassistpetsitting.com/page before even the html page loads. The thing is that this redirection is broken. It doesn't redirect correctly.

Did you maybe have someone set it up for you? If not you might need to check it with homestead (unfortunately It is not connected to us and I can't access your server)

    Let me know. Good luck!

  • Yoha

Can someone at Homestead help us out with this?

Sure,  I can help you out with this. What page is not redirecting? Your home page is working for me when I go to it on a mobile phone.
