I’ve recently noticed when in the sitebuilding plus online version some of the work previously published has gone invisible when I’m working in the page, it’s still there in preview mode and published but not there when I’m working in the page. the shape sizes of the images are there but the actual images are invisible.

I checked this from multiple computers same problem. This is now happened to multiple sites on have.  I have cleared the browsers chache and cookies and some came back but not all.

Would someone kindly offer the actual solution. If you did not have the actual solution please do NOT suggest

I had the same problem when using .png files. I am guessing that was my problem. What type of file are your images saved as?

We do have some people reporting this issue and are investigating it.

Linda1081, did you switch images to jpg and have it work?

Jim4500, can you specify a couple of pages with the issue?

In my case they were .png files and I switched them to .gif files and all is fine. I still have .png files for my logo and social media buttons that don't show up on edit on Desktop, but all is fine when published. I just leave it that way because I know all is fine when published and don't want to change 100+ pages to .gif. There are a few little "hinky" problems (images) on edit in Desktop that look distorted on edit, but once I hit "preview" then go back to edit they straighten out.

That may explain it. png are really only supported in Plus, not in desktop.

I intermittently work both on Plus And Desktop, I was guessing that may have been my problem? I have assessed that .png files don't show up in edit on Desktop and I cannot load .png files onto Desktop, it doesn't recognize the files however they show up when published. I had uploaded my .png files while using Plus.

That would be it. Desktop doesn't do png, but interesting that it doesn't remove them as it would some other elements.

Thank goodness it doesn't! I would be in for a lot of work if that happened! I picked Susan's brains last week and I finally realized the problem was that Desktop didn't recognize .png although the images were intact upon publish.
I had been without Desktop since last May due to switching to windows 8.1 and couldn't get it loaded. One of the Homestead support people convinced me it wasn't possible to use Desktop on 8.1 so I had no choice but to use Plus. There was a small learning curve on Plus but I mastered it, although missing Desktop. I then read last week on these forums how to load Desktop on 8.1 successfully. I tried it with great trepidation and it worked! YIPPIE, (Ask Susan!) The only problem I had was figuring out the .png vs the .gif debacle.
I am torn between Plus and Desktop, I like both... Go figure!

I am one of those "oldies" that started in Desktop, but I now find it no problem working between Plus and Desktop. I enjoy the option and differences in both.
