When I delete an email on Android device it returns to inbox with next synch.

It shows the email in the trash every time I try to delete it as well. If it helps it is on the newest version of Android on a Note 7. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ah the wonders of technology. Not got a clue Robert but wait until Monday and maybe the homestead tech guys can give you a much better answer

I have the same problem but I think if you move the email to the inbox, down arrow trash folder rather than swipe it into the phone , trash folder it will stay in the trash. What im trying to explain is there are 2 trash folders but you have to use the sub folder of the inbox

How are you setting up your email? POP or IMAP?

I am set up for IMAP. It is set up the exact same as my last android device which worked perfectly

I have seen some odd things happen with the stock email client on Android devices. We typically recommend you use K-9 mail. If you are using the stock client try K-9. Directions are in the link below.
