Here are the main differences between SEO and SearchLight.

SEO

Search Engine Optimization is a longer term marketing strategy when it comes to getting ranked in search engines. It's the process of both on-page and off-page optimization to help increase your natural ranking in the organic results. Some of the differences when compared to SearchLight are:

  • Long-term traffic strategy

  • Increased organic ranking

  • No limit to the potential number of visitors to your website

SearchLight

SearchLight is a Pay-Per-Click program, allowing your website to have ads placed in the paid search areas of a variety of search engines. Some of the differences when compared to SEO are:

  • Immediate traffic to your site

  • Only shows in paid ads

  • Once expected monthly clicks are reached, ads do not run until the following month

A good marketing strategy often uses a combination of both so they can receive instant traffic while building up their organic rankings over time.

Hope this helps!
