What's going on at Homestead? When will the website viewing and editing outage, at the busiest time of the year, be corrected?

The web site for my organization is still totally down, since yesterday evening. I have not seen any updates as to system status on line for 12 hours, and no one at Homestead is available for calls or to chat online for at least another 1.5 hours. This is our busiest season for web site visitors, and our site has is being featured as the featured link on a number of national websites these past two days, with the most being this weekend, beginning this morning. If the link to our site just states that our site is "currently unavailable" we will lose a lot of followers and potential followers. What is the problem and what is the status of a fix? When there is such a problem, why doesn't Homestead e-mail customers effected with more information? When I go to edit my site, I am told all published versions of my files have been deleted? Why so many problems these past couple of months Homestead? And where is customer service? Whenever I can actually finally reach someone via phone or "live chat" for problems these past months, I get a standard response of "The system status is available online. There is no more information at this time. We are working on the problem." And I manage a Homestead site for another local business. That site is working okay. Why is one site totally down, and the other okay?

I too am experiencing the same problem along with the fact that All my files and pages show as having been deleted.!!!! This concerns me greatly as to whether they will be recoverable or not??
Even all my Email boxes on H-Mail have disappeared from the Email manager and I have no control over them anymore as they have been deleted as well. There is absolutely NO emergency support or effort here on Homesteads part and I run a commercial site and have lost nearly $1000 over night in lost revenue from memberships and product sales. This is absolutely ridiculous when you consider how much we are paying for this service as opposed to other services that never have experienced such drastic server failures as this. There ALWAYS seems to be a problem with Homestead these days and quite frankly I'm getting tired of the lack of reliability here. There also needs to be some restitution made on homesteads part for compensation for revenue lost and failure to perform if you ask me. Even GoDaddy has 24/7 Customer support.

I noticed the same thing. I have to assume that the switch from Intuit to Homestead is not going as smoothly as it should. Kind of reminds me of the healthcare mess. It would be good if Homestead were more forthcoming with info instead of us finding out the hard way.

has any of you experienced the following: when you start the software it tells you that a local file or a published file have been deleted and to confirm the deletion of the file??? it makes you go through every file, every picture and every page, imagine if you have thousands of pages like me and have to do that manually, did you guys experience that?

That could happen for a few different reasons. If someone is editing the site from a different location and deletes a file from the file manager, or if changes are made via SiteBuilder desktop version, then you open the site from the online SiteBuilder Plus.

It is doing a parity check. It is telling you that the files on the server do not match what is on your computer.

Haven't had anything like that. You might want to start a separate thread. Sounds like a nightmare!

Although I am now able to view my website as of 11/15 afternoon NY time, when I go to website manager to edit my site, it begins to load the site and then bounces me back to the main page where you can select Website Manager, Domains, Email, etc. No error messages, nothing. So, I cannot edit the site

That would be an issue with Microsofts new IE 11 browser. Just log in with Firefox, or Chrome and it will open right up.

Definitely I would not try to edit in IE or Firefox. Chrome is your safest bet.
