PayPal Website Payments (Standard):
Uses your primary Paypal e-mail address to authenticate the connection between BigCommerce and Paypal. If you offer this method of Paypal, then once customers are sent from your checkout to Paypal's payment page then they will have the option to make a payment with a credit card without logging into a PayPal account.

PayPal Express Checkout:

Uses the API signature to authenticate the connection between BigCommerce and Paypal. If you offer this method of Paypal, then once customers are sent from your checkout to Paypal's payment page then it will require your customers to create a Paypal account before they are able to make a payment.
