I want to keep each web page as clean, and short as possible and am considering using links to other pages for ease of organization and editing. Is it better to have the link open in the same or a different window or what are the pros and cons?

Hi Cheryl Kaster,

My rule of thumb is to open in the same window any link that remains on your site.  If you find it necessary to link to an external site, then I like to open it in a new window.  This keeps your site open in a tab or window and doesn't let the visitor forget about you.

Thanks

Drew
