What button do I push to get the checkerboard screen on the stage, for easier alignment?

Great question. To get the grid back, just take your mouse and do a "right-click" in the gray colored area to the right as shown below. If you dont' see the gray area, you may have to widen your browser window until it appears.

There is no Center line or Ruler in the Grid to line things up.

I am using a light blue background. Is that why I am not seeing the grid? I"ve right clicked and checked SHOW GRID, but it does not appear.

I tested your site and when I click "show grid" the grid does appear. It's in a gray color, so it is a little faint, but, it is visible. Currently it's turned off, but if you turn it on you should see it.

Have a MAC no right click. Get nothing when I click on checked part.

I don't have a Mac, but a Google search revealed 4 ways to right click on a Mac. Try these and let us know
