What you are referring to in the address bar is a change in the browser display, but Brian is correct, Homestead sites have never been https. If you were logged in to your account it would should https, but not the published version.
Hi, I have been a Homestead member since 2009 and two of sites are built and hosted using Homestead Sitebuilder. I have designed those by myself. I am sad (and surprised) to know my host is unable to migrate our sites from http to https. I am 100% ready to pay extra for the service. I have checked the 'Add On' section but there was no offering of such migration from Homestead. It looks awful when I browse my sites with Chrome or Firefox and find a message "Not Secure" before my URL. While some of the baby websites already have green colored secure denomination. Within a short while these baby sites will have higher page rank than ours. This is a looser moment and Homestead is not helping us to win.
