I am using Websitebuilder.

In creating a form, I would like to use either a listbox or dropdown menu to give my guests an option to choose from several options, rather than have them answer an open question.  I don't see this as an option.

For example:  Were you licensed and insured?  (dropdown options including several different license/insurance combinations)

Rather than:  Did you have a valid Drivers License?
                      Did you have a CDL?
                      Were you insured?

Am I missing something?

Looks like you are in need of a FORM.  The WebsiteBuilder does not have the form built in anymore.  I just don't know why. It was one of the best features of the old old Sitebuilder.  There are many form builders out there. Form 123 is the most simple.  To have the flexibility you need though you might want to check out Formsite.  It is not entirely free, but I have used it for many of my clients.  It integrates well and if I must pay for a dynamic form (with many dropdowns, check boxes, options and flexibility) I recommend that one.

Lynn is correct, the options that you see in the form are the options we have available. If you need more functionality than we offer, I would recommend looking into a form builder that can provide HTML for you to place on your website.

Maybe I misundersand. It appears that: in order to develop intrinsically secure sites Homestead basically forced us to migrate to a new site building tool - Websitebuilder - but that this "new and improved" tool does not give us the facility to build forms for sending us structured data via email?
Is this true?

You can still build forms, just not as complicated as the original poster mentioned, with dropdowns and multiple choice.

We are not forcing anyone to do anything. We recommend people use Website Builder, because it is a better quality and more updated product. You can secure a Sitebuilder Plus site through Cloudflare, it just isn't something we can offer automatically through that older software.

Where do I find form objects in the Elements list? Or do I find these somewhere else?
For the present I can get by with simple single line edits and text boxes (for longer text entries).
 ---------------
As for "forcing", the fully developed Sitebuilder Plus site I wanted to convert to https contained some objects that Cloudfare couldn't handle, an so their process failed. Nor did Cloudfare identify which objects it was tripping over. So in my case I was, in a practical sense, forced to learn the new tool and reverse engineer my original site.

I would think that a complete set of form-building tools would be an essential feature of an undated product. Certainly, SBP has had these for years. Minimally, if you provide users two distrinct and incompatible site-building tools, I think it would reasonable to offer users a feature-by-feature comparison between the two, to help them make their selection.

But, I'm not trying to pick a fight. If you could answer my question about form objects, I would certainly aprreciate it.

The form option is under Elements > Contact > Contact Form. Place that form on your website, then click Manage Form. You can delete Form Fields you don't need and add the ones you do.
Click on More > Advanced > Settings to make sure that the forms will be submitted to the email address you need them sent to.
