Has anyone notice a drastic uptick in the visit from China the past week or so (12/20/14). I only sell domestically and only products that would interest gardeners of the Western States. I'm not sure why I would be getting so many visits from China. Just wondering if anyone else is?

I am not sure. They seems to be direct page visits and not bots, so someone for some reason is looking at your site. Have you done anything differently recently, like run ads on Facebook?

I have no Facebook or social media page at all - personal or business. But I have added an online store to sell Oregon wildflower seeds through Square - right around the time the visits started. You can gain access to the Square storefront through my Homestead site - they are linked (I don't sell on the Homestead site). I rarely get a visit from foreign countries and to see this uptick in foreign visits - several from China & 1 from Hong Kong - is really really weird to me.

That is odd. I don't know that square would have anything to do with it, as they do appear to be direct pages views by a personal computer.

Drew - since I have no intent of selling overseas, do you know of a way to block visits coming in from specific countries?

There isn't a way at this time. We are going to look into the possibility of allowing this, but it won't be until next year.

Yes, clients from China have been coming to Hawaii for years. With the spread of capitalism average people have money in their pockets for the first time and they are giddy about it. You will find the Chinese to be warm, affable and fun people, if you prefer not to do business with them, it is up to you but I highly recommend it.

The people I have a problem with are not from China but from India, not all of them mind you, but more than 3/4 out of 100%.
Course I am not selling something other than my services. But they know how much I charge upfront, before I even come out!
My first hour rate has been unchanged for the last 3 years and is still $50 and alittle cheaper for the next hour or hours that I am there.
But when it comes time to get paid, they always will look you in the face and will say.....will you take $40, no it is $50! Will you take $45? Grrrrr, it gets ugly from then on out! :-( Nobody else does that to me but them people! They can go back where they came from as far as I am concerned!
