This has been going on for a month. Homestead is migrating it's websites to a new storage location and we're experiencing an interruption in service.

Yeah, I've heard that story.  I don't want to know what's wrong. I want it fixed.  Or, at least, to know when it's going to be fixed.

Hi themieleman,

Do you know if its only Sitebuilder Plus users that are running into this problem?  Or have you heard of any Sitebuilder Desktop uses that have been afflicted by the same problem?  I personally haven't had any issues with Homestead and I have two separate accounts with over a dozen homestead accounts, all with no problems.

I'm using Sitebuilder Desktop and it's not working.  But, it's not just a problem with building the sites. The actual sites are not loading at all.

I signed up with the community to help others grow their websites. We help each other with different aspects of the program. I am currently using SB+ but I'm getting a steady stream of complaints from desktop users as well.

I was able to log into one of my sites and make some changes around 3PM.  No problems at all....logged right in the first time.   Also looked at it on the Internet....so this is something that has just happened since then because I just tried to log into a site again...with the same old crap...your log in info is incorrect, bla bla bla.  + none of my 45 sites will appear on the Internet.

We are sorry for the interruption. All services should be resuming now.

I just spent over 45 minutes on hold for the customer service phone number, and no surprise, no answer.  I have been a Homestead Customer for over 18 years with dozens of web sites, I cannot begin to tell you how much money has been lost due to server failures over all these years. I use homestead because its so user friendly in the site building department, even though they have NEVER improved upon the site builders features and in fact they have continued to CUT items out of their offering.  It all certainly is an ongoing problem.

A whole month of problems, was the month they planned on making this migration the best time to also introduce a price increase?

Who's bright idea was that. At least wait until the migration was complete and bug free before introducing a price increase. We have a heavy web presence and this is prime Marketing season. We've spent a lot of advertisement dollars this season and having a broken website is causing a loss of revenue...

Sorry, you have experienced an unexpected server error.

You have experienced an unexpected server error. We are working to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. Please try again later.”

Deja vu all over again - - thanks a lot Homestead.  You’ve managed to screw up another day of mine – AGAIN.

Absolutely an embarrassment. This is so ridiculous now. Almost a month of this. This is the 2nd outage today. I couldn't even login, to post about it.

Long time customer of Homestead since 1999!.....I too was very frustrated until I saw video about Server Farms!

Check them out!  https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=server+farms

I will always love the simplicity of Homestead!  I have website using WIX www.DavidsVintageJewelry.com and am about to open account at Square Space  www.squarespace.com  for our newest venture www.online-yardsale.com

Long time Yahoo Store at www.ArizonaIndianJewelry.com

Homestead is having problems..........yes!  But like they said?  ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY!

But?  Homestead will forever be a part of my online life! ....Sam

Sam, I can appreciate everything that you have shared.  I think mine (and most people's) very justified aggravation is the lack of communication.  It demonstrates a lack of respect for Homestead's customers.  This is the much bigger problem than sites being offline periodically.

Communication via the internet ..........even though computers and cell phones are super?  Still relies on PEOPLE!  An actual person has to answer that phone........post that reply....amend that website page .etc.

https://www.google.com/search?newwindow=1&site=&source=hp&q=communication+on+the+interne...

I hardly think Homestead is causing grief for its Customers ----- On Purpose!  That would be insane?

And they still have to maintain a 'modem' that everything is alright at Homestead?  Otherwise?  They would be totally 'Dead In The Water'..........and sink from sight as if they never even ever existed!

And I would NOT want that!  15 years of using the very "Easy To Use" WEbsite Builder?  HOMESTEAD?  ..........No!  I will endure this temporary server farm problem..........

Is there anyone at Homestead who is reading this conversation? Please give us some idea when things will be working. I don't want to waste my time continuing to try to publish my site and be denied by an error code. Should I try again in 2 hours or 2 days?
