Helping a friend build a new site.  Transferred a domain from another my account to theirs.  The new site I built using the new WebSite Builder in their account was viewable at http://nct.homesteadcloud.com
prior to this.  Now nothing works. Now I get "Page Not Found :(

Oh, man. Looks like you’re totally lost. Want to go back to the homepage?

After logging into theiri account the "Getting Started" page tells me to build and publish a site and takes me to SiteBuilder Plus where there is no evidence of the site.  Domain Manager indicates that the domain points to "nct".  Website Builder says that the site is available at newtoncountytitle.com but I just get a page with the blue box showing the domain name and Homestead.com.  HELP !!!!!!

Not sure what's gone wrong but just on reading,.....newtoncountytitle.com was changed on 12th May with ICANN and is up and running but it may take 24 hrs to propagate. Was the domain name your transferred associated with a previous Sitebuilder Plus account. Although all new websites are built with the new Websitebuilder by default I am aware that, should you want to build.and edit the website with Sitebuilder Plus, you can start the website, give it a title ( dont choose a template) and then ask Drew, one of the tech guys in here, to transfer the name to Sitebuilder Plus. But it sounds like association issues and it may take one of the Homestead guys to look at your account to correct things.

I have been using Sitebuilder for over 15 years.
The NewtonCountyTitle site was originally built in my account several years ago.
They now have their own account so I rebuilt the site in their account using Website Builder.  It was working fine.  Now, though, when I log into that account the "Get Started" page takes me to SiteBuilder Plus.  From the "Website manager" page if I chose to edit it goes to Website Builder.  personally I prefer SiteBuilder over the new Website Builder but that option was not available when I rebuilt the site for them.

Kathy Like you I started with SItebuilder and stayed with it up until about three years ago when the choice of templates was drastically reduced. IN order to access the newer templates I had to upgrade to Sitebuilder plus. I must admit I have built several with Sitebuilder plus and preferred it to the old desktop sitebuilder. The new Websitebuilder, however, is still beset with problems and building a website is not as much fun as it used to be... Since the launch ( in my opinion) Homestead seem to have caused problems across the board. Still, on a positive note Drew, one of the company techs, is an absolute diamond and if anyone can solve the mystery, he can. Sadly the back room boys don't seem to be as equally committed to excellent customer service as Drew is, Odd considering if they didn't have customers they wouldn't have a web building Company. Drew will be back Monday morning. Good Luck

I struggled through rebuilding the site in the new Website Builder and am not happy with it at all.  I have never used any of the templates, preferring to start with a blank page for all of my sites.  I just hope I don't have to build it yet again in SiteBuilder Plus.  That was not even an option with I began the rebuild.  Had it been I would have used it.  I actually began using Homestead way back when it was a free service and have stayed with them because I could always talk to a person.  The past few years, though, the customer service has deteriorated dramatically.  Drew is good and, hopefully, he can help.

Ah free, the halcyon days, you must also be a "founder Member" I wish I could give you loads of advice but, like yourself, I have completed a rebuild in the new builder, its looks OK in mobile but I am not sure I like it.. Have left it alone for a while so can return to it with fresh eyes.  stayed because it worked properly ( all the time) and was fun. Maybe just getting old and grumpy. BUT... its the new way of the web so we are kind of stuck with it.

Hi Kathy, I can make it so that you can use Sitebuilder if you prefer. You will want to create a new topic that is marked private, so we can verify what you want to do.
