I re-designed "www.howareyouliving.com"; However, when I publish it, the URL that shows is "livingwell financial services." That is the pointer site and should not be showing. Also, my "Voice Services" page publishes but cannot be found when clicked in the navigator bar.

Hi Lawrence,
I'm seeing the "www.howareyouliving.com" url when I open that site. Perhaps you got that figured out?
Your Voice Services doesn't appear to be linked in your menu which is why it isn't showing up - there is nothing there to tell it where to go.

Hi Susan, Thanks for responding.

1.  I got the issue with Voice Services figured out, with your help.

2.  The Title Tag, "Living Well Designs" is fine but here's what shows in the address bar: http://livingwellfinancial.homestead.com/Index.html?_=1419565411142.

How can this be corrected?

3.  When clicking on navigation buttons, there is a flash of stuff (template image) that I covered up. How can I stop this from showing?

When you publish a page the URL will always show the .homestead.com/whatever. But that isn't what will show when someone finds your page through a search or bookmark. This is what they will see:

You need to delete the template picture and then it won't load. Just move your header off a bit so you can click on the template header. Once it's selected click delete.

Let me know if this helps so we can go to Plan B if it doesn't!  :)

P.S. Just did some more digging and I have questions.
You say that the livingwellfinancial is a pointer site yet I'm not seeing a redirect or a canonical code that would tell the Search Engines to go to the howareyouliving site. So really you have two identical sites that can harm your indexing with the Search Engines.
So walk me through how you have this set up.
Do you have two sites one called "howareyouliving" that is a registered domain and one called "livingwellfinancial" that isn't a registered domain (which is why the .homestead.com part shows in the address)?
If yes to the above why have both?

I began offering financial services to business in 2005. I later shifted focus to Web design and Financial services became a subdomain.

Here is a pasting of my domain setup:

howareyouliving.comSite
livingwellfinancial

Should I just delete the livingwellfinancial subdomain, or will that break something?

I'm going to suggest you wait for Drew - he'll see this when he gets back. I know what I would do, but don't want to lead you astray in case the way you have this set up differs. So hang on until later today (Friday).

Good morning Lawrence5219,

The URL with the .homestead.com is a valid one, so that a domain is not required. You will see it when previewing the site and publishing, but site visitors, like Susan, will only see it, if you give it to them.  Go to a browser and type in your domain name. You will see the domain in the address bar.

I have another problem cropping up. I have uploaded 3 audio files to my Voice Services page today. However, when I publish the page, all three of the files play at the same time.

I did not select "Play Automatically" for any of them.

How can I correct this?

Thanks,

Lawrence

Well, I figured out a way to keep them from playing - creating links to the files instead of posting the actual audio file.

So now I have one playing automatically and that's good. However since the audio file's Controls don't show on the published page, my visitors have no way of stopping it if they want to listen to the other audio files linked. How can I get an audio control button activated?

Thanks.

Lawrence
