Uploading photo and whether I click I do or don't want to make smaller, it automatically crops it. How do I get in on a page without cropping?

Hello,

When you upload the image  when it ask if you would like to resize and select no it should keep the image big and you can also expand the image by grabbing and dragging the white squares on the corners. The only reason it would resize it and show small is if you are uploading the image into a photo gallery

My steps:
Select image
click replace
click upload
choose photo (either too large or not too large)
if image is too large "This image is too large"
Whether image too large or not, a window pops up asking me if I want to make it smaller. Whether I click 'yes' or 'no', I get a crop window with the image cropped. I can make it smaller but I can't return to larger size
Whether I click the 'x' in the upper right corner or click 'yes' in the lower right corner, it has already put the cropped image in my webpage.
I am trying to upload an 8.5 x 11 .jpg. I've done this several times before, but this time I am trying to upload an updated image and it is not working.
This is uploading into file manager, so I don't think the photo gallery comment applies. Although you say if I select 'no' is should keep the image big, this is not what is happening. Will appreciate any help.

Try to upload it as a new image, not using the replace option. Click on insert, image and upload from my computer.

It's more work, but it does work, so thank you. At least I can now make the changes. Appreciate your help.

Perfect. When replacing it may be attempting to keep the same customization's made for the previous image. Your are welcome.

Thank you for the explanation. While the starting image is the same, the existing one had been resized for the website and this one was not resized (kb) the same, so this may have been the issue. Thanks again!

There is also an option in the tool bar when you add and then click on the image that says COVER or Fit.  Try those tools.

This sounds useful. I'm in SiteBuilder Plus but don't see an image saying Cover or Fit on the toolbar. What does it look like or where is it?

I apologize, that is a WebsiteBuilder feature.

OH, sorry- I didn't see you were still in SiteBuilder.  That is a Website Builder tool.  You may want to consider rebuilding in the new platform.  It's a little bit of a pain to have to put it all together re-saving and copying from your old site, but certainly worth the effort.  It's much more modern, more acceptable to the search engines, automatically secure and looks very nice on mobile.  I moved all my sites to the Website Builder and am very happy with it.

Thank you for your suggestion. The details of how it improves the site (mobile, securtity) was quite helpful.
