The notification "the old Site Builder. Switch to the new Website Builder" if I carry out the instructions:

How do I get upgraded to Website Builder for FREE?

Step 1: Login to your Control Panel.
Step 2: Click on 'Add New Website' under the Websites Manager tab.
Step 3: Enter a Web Address in the space provided and click 'Add this Site'.
Step 4: Hit 'Choose Design' to start your website.

Will I be forced to make changes to every page on my website?

Will the website transfer seamlessly?
Can I just upgrade without making any changes now and make changes later as required?

I have a feeling that you will have to copy all of your files to another location and then after getting Website Builder, move all of your copied files to the new program. Seamlessly, I'm not too sure about that.

Hello David!

The upgrade the the new builder will not switch your current, existing site to the new builder. You can leave your current site running and untouched while you rebuild your site in this upgraded builder. Then, once you are done building the site, you can switch your domain over. This is what we are referring to by seamless. No downtime while you rebuild.

We offer a free SSL through the builder and the site will be mobile friendly and responsive. You can upgrade whenever you choose to do so. There is not a deadline for this.

Hello Brian,

There is no easier way to do this. To switch to WebsiteBuilder, the site needs to be rebuilt. There is no transferring content between builders, so all images and files will need to be re-uploaded and the site will need to be built from scratch.
You can do this in the background while your other site is still up and running so you can take as much time as you need.

Not impressed. After 19 years of solid website work. A near impossible job to replcate 16 popular websites. My main site www.vintagespeedway.com is nearing 1,000,000 hits. I do hope the current Sitebullder format will continue to be supported... Brian .

As my yearly fees of over $300 Au are due early July please get back to me ASAP as to ongoing support of current format. If not going to be supported I will have to make alternate arrangements and not renew with Homestead after 19 + years...  Brian

We have no plans to discontinue the Sitebuilder Plus program. It just isn't as updated and modern as the new builder we offer.

Thank you for your reassurance - I now have peace of mind... Brian
