I would like to update my web site using one of your temples. When I try it tells me that It will delete my current website. Is there a way of working on a new website off line from a templates and then removing my old site and replacing it with the new one?

I am not sure it would be possible to work offline because the only builder available is the new Websitebuilder which is online only. What the guys in here are doing is recreating their websites in the new builder but leaving the original website as it is, live on the www. Once we are happy with the new website we can redirect our domain name to the new website and delete the old.

I believe you have to start from scratch. It's why I haven't changed mine. Hopefully, someone has a work around for this.

Absolutely... One of the tech guys will be around in here soon so maybe they have some clever way of doing it, but I have not seen a positive answer to this question in recent months. Don't forget you can open your old website in a browser and your new site in editor and use the copy / paste function to transfer text.. but you would need to sort fonts and upload your images. Good Luck

I am sorry, there is no workaround. If you want to change the template, you will need to start over. You can create a new site and leave the old one running while you do it.

I would like to start from scratch and leave the old site in place. How do I do this?  How can I view the different templates?

Joe, in order to do this you will need to create a new site by clicking on the Add A Site option (top, right) when you log in to your account.
When you do that you will be asked to chose a name. This can be any name as it will later change over to your regular domain if you so choose. You will then be asked to pick a template. Your can scroll through and view all the templates available - they are all editable so you can alter the appearance. If you want to build from scratch just choose any template and delete all the elements.
In order to build a new site your package must allow for more than one site. If you don't see the Add A Site option then you will need to add on an additional site. The cost for that is $2.00/month, but once you have completed your new site and switch over you can cancel that add on.
Should you choose a template and later decide you don't like it then you will need to go through the process again of adding a site, etc.
Once you have the new site built you replace the old with the new. Until then your existing site stays up just as it is now.
