Unable to transfer domain from Homestead

I am trying to transfer my site www.southtahoerefuse.com from homestead to sitebuilder.com.  For some reason, it is not allowing me to email the authorization code.  It says there was an error retrieving this domain's contact email. Please try again later.  Please help!

The registrar is currently experiencing some technical issues and I can't get the code to send for you right now. Unfortunately, for now we need to wait to see when they have it resolved.

Hi Drew,
I'm still not able to transfer the domain or get the authorization code.  Any word?  Is there any way we can point the domain to outside of Homestead to the other website I already created in the meantime?

The domain is unlocked and privacy is off. The display you see on public whois is a result of the new European law GDPR. I am investigating this with the registrar as, with privacy off, the contact should show southtahoerefuse.com@data-protected.net. Any mail sent to that will be forwarded to your actual email address.

I'm sorry to be such a dork about all of this, but Sitebuilder is still showing that the privacy is still on.  They are saying that I need to reply to a verification email that I wish to have the privacy turned off.  Is there a way to send this email or resend this email quickly?

I do not see any changes in the notes, but they sometimes take a while to show in the notes. I have sent a message to the registrar to see if they see everything as I do.
