I'm using a new laptop and can't launch Site Builder:

It says SiteBuilder was unable to launch. SiteBuilder could not launch. SiteBuider requires permission to write to its install directory.

Can you help me further?

Hello,

The downloadable software is not recommended to use on new devices going forward as it is becoming very outdated and is not compatible with the most recent windows updates. We would recommend that you use Sitebuilder plus which is the online version you can access by logging in at Homestead.com. However, if you want to continue using the desktop version you can try running the fixes in these articles to allow your new device to run the old program.

Hi Michelle C,

On my my labtop I have Windows 7 so SiteBuilder should work. Can you send me the link where I can download SiteBuilderPlus.

I do not have a direct link unfortunately, you can log into your account at Homestead.com and get it from websites manager.

Hi Michelle, I have tried SiteBuilderPlus but also this one does not work.
Once started up it stays offline.
It says:
Internet connection required (what I understand)
You must be connected to internet the first time you log in with Homestead Sitebuilder. If you stay offline, you will be unable to log in. Once you are online click 'Connect to continue'

I can't get any further. Can you help me? Do you have a live chat function as before so you can help me out?

Hello,

We do not offer live chat, Homesteads provided phone support and we can assist through the community, apologies. However, Sitebuilder plus is functioning, I was able to access it from my end fine. If you are having issue make sure you are using a recommended browser, google chrome or Firefox.
Those errors are in relation to the desktop builder. You can follow the steps in this article to get the desktop builder functioning.

The first error is incorrect log in credentials. You can use your email address on file for your account as the username and whatever password you have set up. To use the online version of sitebuilder, log in at Homestead.com

The screenshot looks like you are still launching the desktop builder.
If you wish to use the desktop builder you can follow the steps in this article to get the desktop builder functioning.
