I just set up a second site, and went to the mobile editor (found it) and there is one text box only on the site, and i cannot get in there to edit it. I just want to select the first two words to make them bold, but cannot manage to do this.

In the mobile editor you need to enable custom style. Unfortunately, there is a known issue that if you edit the size or color , etc of text in the desktop, then you can not custom style it in the mobile. The developers are working on this issue.

Okay, what about this: on the mobile site, when I hit the index to select another page (there are just two, Music and Contact) there's a little window that slides in from the left side allowing users to select the page they want to navigate to. How can I edit that sliding window? It has a purple background and I want a white one. I cannot find access to that window anywhere.

More items will show there as you add more pages. As long as you don't hide them in the mobile menu.

Do you only want to change it on the mobile view? if so, go to the mobile editor and click on the menu. Then click advanced. Then on the right, click style. If custom style is off, turn it on. You should then see an option near the top for background. This sets the background for the menu and the bar that slides out. I am not aware of a way to change the slide bar without also changing the background of the menu on the page.

Thanks. I did this, but the sliding menu element is still purple after saving and publishing.

On this design there is another place that is set. Go to the mobile editor and click the menu, then advanced. Lastly click on Navigation Settings. That color is set there too.
