Unable to create the directory files

I have been experiencing similar problems to everyone else with messages saying files have been deleted. I have systematically clicked the "don't delete" option, but when I try and publish my updated pages, I keep receiving the warning message: "Upload Error - Unable to create the directory files - If you have any questions, please contact Customer Support."

This is happening on all of my websites.

My question is, what does this message mean exactly?

go 2 the main thread. i posted a temporary workaround until the rain forest midgets work it out. follow it exactly. do not have them refresh anything.
