Unable to add "WWW" prefix to cname entry because "WWW" is being using in an A record. Never had this problem with other hosting providers.

I am attempting to update our cname records to the correct record for our website hosted on WIX. When entering the record I get an error that the "WWW" prefix is already in use with an A record. I do not know what else to put here as I have never had this problem before with multiple duplicate aliases across different records.

Hello,

There can be only one record for each host. WWW can either be an A record or a CNAME. I have never seen a company that allows both, as WWW can only point to one place. You would need to delete the A record to add the CNAME
