You can get the transparent background by uploading a .png of the image.

Upload your image using the Lunapic ap. You'll be able to create transparent background, edit the size, shape, border and even add text. It's a flexible tool that'll enable you to produce images like you never thought of or thought possible. You can rename the image using the appropriate file name. Experiment with you images in question. You'll need to study but it'll pay off.

in lunapic you just upload your image and then hit edit in the upper left corner then scroll down to the bottom where it says transparent and then once you click that you will go and click the background of the image and it will go transparent.

Why do you think it's so simple? Lot's of us have worked on our sites for years before figuring it out. It's only simple when you know how. The Homestead community has provided you with excellent instructions. Let us know if we've helped.
