I know the traffic counter is hosted by another company but do you know if they are having issues ? There are days when our count is way off and today we have had no one to our site other than two visits we made to check if the site is working. This has never happened in 6 years which makes me wonder particularly since we have had people tell us they were on the site.

Have you checked your stats report?

Sorry...that's what I meant when I clled it the Traffic Counter. I am referring to the stats report.

Have you tried logging onto your site? Logon, browse thru some pages and then check stats to see if your visit registers.

Yes, I did that twice and for 12 hours those were the only two visitors that were reported. I spoke to several people this morning who said they were on my site but they were not reported. I know that some days we have only 20 visitors a day but we have had as many as 200 a day but in 6 yeears, we have never had no one and now another visitor showed up and it's a bot. I know I sound paranoid but after 6 years, I have a good idea of what to expect from the website.

I would recommend signing up for Google Analytics. It's a free service offered by Google that will track your site stats much better than the service we offer. That way you can check to see if it is our service having issues or something is wrong with the website or domain.

Thanks, I'll do that but it makes me wonder why Homestead doesn't get something better.

I review the stats daily. I'll sign up for Google Analytics too.

Now the stats don't work at all. I get the following message:

Error loading input file: The download of the specified resource has failed. Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d' Type mismatch: 'CDate'

/handle_params.asp, line 311

I haven't heard of that error. I was able to check and the stats are loading for some sites here. Does the error still happen if you try clearing your cache and cookies?
