I review books. I MUST be able to add HTML to each individual blog post in order to show the book cover, links to the title and author, and my rating for the book. Without this your blog is 100% useless to me. Because of this I'm going to have to cancel my Homestead service which I've been with since 2000, so I can pay for my WordPress blog, but I don't really want to do this.

Another issue, though not completely essential at this point, is I need my blog to be on the HOME page of the website. I do not want to be forced to create a splash page where my followers have to click a link to get to my posts.

You are able to add an image in the blog. It is under add elements. You can create links to anything from text on the page.

You can also set any page to the home page. Go to the pages menu and go to the page settings. One option is set as home page.

Thank you so much for responding. I really appreciate any attempt to help, however that does not address my problem. I do not have access to the book cover images. Taking a screenshot to make my own is most likely a copyright violation. There is also no way to include a ratings scale for each book in every individual post without HTML, and I'd rather not start leaving those out of my posts, since my followers are already used to them being included with my reviews. I need to copy and paste the HTML from Goodreads to my blog posts, the way I can in my WordPress blog. I'm sure it's not likely, but I'm hoping that someone at Homestead will take notice here and add this function to their blog. Maybe I can come back to the service at a later date if they do.
Thank you for letting me know how to change the home page. I looked and looked and didn't see it!

If you need to use HTML, then at this time we can't do that. I do see your use case and am sorry, this has been requested of the developers, but I do not know if/when it will be available.

I know it might never happen... but I really appreciate your trying to help. I hope they add this function. My account is due next month. It's going to break my heart to not renew for the first time in 18 years :(.
