Synching Files- On log-in, the system asked me to choose to synch local/published files. After several clicks, my site is now merged with elements of my published site and several weeks worth of work on the back end. Please help. When viewing in Preview, all of my work is there but in editor, the files are randomly merged together.

If you chose local, click through all the elements. You should then be able to arrive at your website editor. I do not know what you're faced with "randomly merged?" Maybe you should refresh you browser before you begin editing your site: control/shift/delete.

Samething happen to me....I have clicked on download published for a while then got tired and shut down sitebuilder.  I cannot edit my site presently because of that function that I have never understood how it works.  It keeps my occasionnaly asking me to download published file or keep local. Why? I don't have a clue and noone has been able to explain at Homestead.  I hope they fix this problem eventually.

I get the same thing, or something similar.  I can't access the website to edit, since "changes were detected..." etc.  Of course, there were no changes to the files from the users' end. As Martin notes above, "clicking through all the elements" is not realistic, as there are hundreds if not thousands of elements. Besides, how many changes were made to archived PDF files anyway?

So what is the real solution to this issue?

There is not such option on the window.  I have to do them individually.  It will take me an hour or so.

Go ahead and try loading www.curlingvg.ca again and let me know if you still see the sync dialog

Moreover, when I log in and click the website manager, it brings me the Blog Manager and not Your website window.  I have to click on Getting started then again on Website manager to get the Your website window.  Something is going wrong!!!

Finally it works.  After many tries I got in.  I hope that I have not lost anything.
