I have been advised that the engineers have made a change they believe will resolve the issue finally. You may still receive the sync message one time. You can keep the local or published file and click through all of the files to get in, you should not have to do so again.

Alternately, you ay wait until tomorrow for a representative to delete the cache file for you one more time and it should be resolved. Another option is that on Wednesday, we are do to release an option on the sync dialog to apply the choice to all files.

If you don't have urgent updates, then you may want to wait until Wednesday when this option should be available.

If you need a site to have the cache deleted, then please simply post the domain or site name and log out of Homestead, then wait for us to post for you to log in and load the site. If you go through everything and then see the message again, please tell us and we will look again.

Also having trouble with the Synch Files and other editing problems! What's up?? Please fix asap...the last time I had synch file problems, it wiped out the entire site!!! This is not acceptable and not a way to run a business.

I need to update two of my websites, right away, for critical business updates that are needed.I will be losing business if I can't do the website updates/edits. Please contact asap via email or let me know when I can call you.

Mary0182, This should be fixed, but after the fix was put in place, you will probably see the  message one more time. If you would like me to clear it today, log out of Homestead and let me know. I clear it and you should not see it again.

I was able to get in once to update my website and now all I get is "Synchronize File" to download updated site. Then nothing happens. It just sits there not doing anything.

I manually clicked through all the files on both of my computers and then the Sync notice disappeared and the program took over and let me in to do what I had to do to update my site.

Remember folks, if you would like us to delete the cache for you, just post the domain name that is receiving the sync message. Tomorrow, there should also be an Apply to all added to the sync dialog box to speed the process up. Once you have cleared the message, you should not get it again. If you do, please let us know so we can look at your account for specific problems.

Yes it was already cleared today and I made an edit but it isn't working now and I can't get in. Yes I am logged out.

For whatever reason the advertisement footer for Homestead is showing up on a few of my pages? I really and I mean really am tired of it as are many others!

This happened after the so called "fix" today!

Can you please pass it on to whoever may be in charge?

We/I don't want to advertise for you all given the fact we are paying for this service.

I think one of the tech's cleared the cache and I could log in once. When I was logged back out (due to one of the site's many bugs/crashes), I got the synch files problem back again. PLEASE HELP!

If so, do I need to make it count... like be ready to do all my changes. or will I be able to log out and log back in to do more.  Is the cache clearing a permanent fix or temporary...

Hello Michelle58, you should be able to load your Sitebuilder and we're hoping this fix we just released should take care of this issue, however we are still continuing to monitor to ensure the Sitebuilder does load as intended.

For the second time this week I am getting the Synchronize File Message, last time i toggled through the hundreds messages only to have the sites stop responding.  After approximately an hour of trying I was able to get in, and everything worked correctly.  This morning it has started the process all over again, is there anything you can do to help?

There was an issue where the server would ask to sync the files to make sure it is loading every file correctly, which is why you were prompted to choose either your local copy or your published copy. Fortunately throughout this, making edits to website and publishing has been working but getting beyond the sync screen made it a little problematic especially if you do possess a lot of files on your website.

Kungshih3258, could you load your Sitebuilder and let me know if you get the sync message again?

Guess what? one of my sites is done and now it's the other one http://www.mababodhimanda.org/ which previously didn't have problem. Can't the engineers fix this thing once and for all?

Did you find the Apply to all checkbox. I just launched that site with no sync message? We believe the error has been fixed, but you may need to sync each site once. If you see the error again, then let us know.

edit log-in blocked by weird notice — I have the same problem as the person who just posted: "I was just editing and had to go out of the site, went back in to edit, message came up Synchronize File, I have two versions which do I want? Box message said Download Published Copy or choose Keep Local. Did both - not allowed to move on to my website."
I am not allowed to proceed with logging in to edit.
Urgently need to edit for upcoming events.

Synching Files- On log-in, the system asked me to choose to synch local/published files. After several clicks, my site is now merged with elements of my published site and several weeks worth of work on the back end. Please help. When viewing in Preview, all of my work is there but in editor, the files are randomly merged together.

I was directed to move previous conversation on MY problem to this thread. I have been very patient and allowed the propagation of this fix to take place. I STILL CAN NOT EDIT MY SITE!!! I am NOT getting any kind of "sync" as this thread discusses. My problem, once more, is that when I click to EDIT my site it goes to a screen that says it's "Verifying Files" and after a moment changed to "Copying Files" and there it hangs indefinitely

I've been far more patient that I can stand at this point. I've been through dozens of trouble shooting steps most of which are recorded and re-recorded in the original thread.

At this time I've once again tried to edit my site on 3 different browsers and 2 different networks. I NEED THIS RESOLVED YESTERDAY!!!

Robin0214, You should not see this again once it has been sync'd again. If you do see after syncing, then tell us. There is an apply to all box. Check it and choose keep local. It will do all for you, then it should be resolved.

You may need to clear the browser to see it, but it is there. You should be clear now and it should not happen again. Let us know if it does

Everytime I log into Sitebuilder it gives me the sync files message. Drew cleared it up for me a couple days ago but it only let me edit one time before I have the same problem again. I really need to keep my website updated and it is really becoming a problem.

It should be resolved, but if you haven't sync'd since the fix, you will need to do so. The sync dialog now has an apply to all. Check that box and you should not see the message again. Let us know if you see it again after this.
