Hello one of my sites is 6 years old.  I would like to switch to one of the newer designs.

Can you provide me with steps to switch from one of the old designs to one of the newer designs offered by Homestead.

Thank you

All new sites are being designed using the new Websitebuilder platform that offers a more modern look as well as having a mobile version built in. You will need to rebuild your site though as the old and new programs are too dissimilar to just switch. Your current site will remain up just as it is now while you rebuild. Once you are finished you will move the domain to the new site.

There is a learning curve with this new program, but don't get discouraged as help is always available. There are many posts under the Websitebuilder category - the ones with the little Homestead icon (the house) beside them are tutorials and you can always ask questions here in the Forum.

Steps:
Click on Add A Site in the upper right of your website manager page.
Give the site a name. This can be anything as it's just temporary.
Choose a design. If you prefer to start from scratch you choose a template, select all the elements and delete them.
Build the site. If you open your existing site in the browser you can then copy and paste the content into the new site. Images will need to be uploaded to the new platform. There are many posts under the Websitebuilder category - the ones with the little Homestead icon (the house) beside them are tutorials and you can always ask questions here in the Forum.
Once the site is complete you will switch the domain to it.
Below are links to some helpful posts. I'd suggest you read through those as well as the viewing the tutorials before you begin.

Best of luck!
