This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled SUBMIT BUTTON: 5 sent - 0 received. Keeps getting worse!.

We run a real time auction and now at the very worst time, right at the last 4 hours of the auction when the majority of the bids come in the submit button either does not work or we receive 0 of of 5 sends or the delay is an hour or more. Is this nightmare, not of our making but Homesteads, ever going to end. This has cost us heavy lost revenue, lost clients and now perhaps court costs that we will most assuredly will pass on to Homestead in future. The very least Homestead can offer to all is 6 months FREE usage of their platform with the guarantee this will never happen again. Does this sound reasonable to everyone reading this message?

Man, I really feel bad for you. WTF is going on? I am getting really nervous...there is no deadline for this, unlike the migration's "end of month", so who knows when it will get fixed?...

This is for Drew: By the way, the guy with 47 offices, if you recall his posts, has info that says the submit button problem is not fixable via the completed migration, is a separate problem so if true, cast your hopes aside that it will be fixed when migration complete- Drew is this true? When can we expect fix if so?

I have never stated that there will a specific date and time for the end. The verbiage has been around the end of the month. We have also specified that external factors can affect the time frame. I have not received any word on whether or not this has occured, so I am hopeful that we are on track.

Further, I have stated that there will be continued work after the migration is completed. There may be some issues that will need to be addressed afterward.

Drew, I mean no offence because you've been put in an impossible situation.  But should we have asked 'which' month?  Would you care to divulge exactly 'where' these new servers are located?

How do I get to the Google docs "forms" and how did you create a page to be used on your Homestead website?
Photo of CADJ

CADJ

  • 1,386 Points 1k badge 2x thumb
1 - create a google account for your company if you don't already have one... Use the link I posted above... Build your form... Then use the same page on your site. Or save that page as page 2... Then delete your current form.... Once you get your form complete in google click the embed code... Copy it.... Paste it in homestead in your new page ( html) ... You can tweek your form afterword... The main thing is not to loose anymore leads. Hope this helps good luck! Don't forget to link your new page.

Just want to mention for anyone with forms that have many checkboxes or many pages/products, like mine (over 50), using google forms is not feasible from a labor (many, many hours of page editing) or usability standpoint because of googles way manages checkboxes is not close to what's need. WE NEED the submit button to work!

I am sorry. I can only report what I am given. They believe they are still close, but some of the issues that occurred this week seem to have gotten a little in the way. Again, the last update was for around the end of the month. Further, I did announce that after the migration was done, the majority of issues would be resolved, but there would still be some time needed to clean up additional ones.

Apology accepted but HS must not have much manpower if you can't handle a problem that is over 3 weeks old (submit button not working) and has been well documented as wreaking financial damage all over the place.

By the way, my complaints about lack of accountability and any sense of urgency by HS management and leaving you to fend for yourself is one of my real issues with this roll out. Here is how a real business leader responds:

Fernandes, the founder and public face of AirAsia, and a constant presence in Indonesia since the tragedy started unfolding, said he planned to travel to the recovery site on Wednesday.

"I have apologized profusely for what they are going through," he said of his contact with relatives. "I am the leader of this company, and I have to take responsibility. That is why I'm here. I'm not running away from my obligations."

Yeah and most likely was an accident, not, as here, conscious disregard or low prioritization followed by a blasé, cavalier attitude, which deserves the strongest apology possible.

I called them (HS management) kitties a week ago but used the word that begins with "p"  lol, I got a warning icon next to this message, but message was allowed to stand nonetheless...as it should!

Wow, they own 50 or so different host companies, no doubt as we sit here being streamlined (in one data center) to talk to each other. I would too with 2.9 million customers. Future advertising or data base marketing to  us????

But no one would suffer like this under my watch that's for sure, I happen to respect the people who pay me.

For those that are having issues with the submit button still, if you select the email and generate a file option, even if you aren't getting the email, is it still generating the entry into the file or no?

yes. but only if the submit button actually works. if you get a server error or the page hangs then no. best to have both file and email anyway.

Caycee you wont get a text file if the submit button does not work, what you are seeing is the ones that come through when the button sporadically works, and EVEN THEN you will only receive 20 to 30 % of those who filled out the form and got a working button. It is a two headed monster this problem.

You, like everyone else, should send 5 to 10 forms to yourself every day, assuming the button works, then wait several hours to see how many you get, and then complain like hell!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Submit Button Not Working.

What is going on with the submit button?  I am having customers place orders online, and I am not receiving the emails to let me know they have submitted an order.

I have now changed the message they see after they click on the submit button to read, "Your information has been submitted.  If you have not received a confirmation email from us by the next business day, please call us."  This is so unprofessional; however, it is better than missing orders.  I also set my order form information to be sent by email and text.  On the Forms Management page on my account I can now see the orders that have been submitted, but not receiving through email.  This causes me a lot of extra work to have to sign into my account to see who has submitted an order, and unless I sign in and check every few minutes, I cannot stay on top of the orders in a timely manner.

I had this problem three weeks ago, and then one day I started receiving the emails.  Now I am not receiving the emails, and do not know exactly when I stopped receiving them.

How can we, as business owners, trust Homestead to fix this issue and trust that once fixed it will remain that way?  If we ran our businesses this way, we would lose all our customers!

Help??

In  reading your posts I think you don't realize that 20 to 50 percent of your form submissions do not make it to your text file even when the button is working, send 10 forms to yourself and see how many you get.

I have forms set up on my website. When a customer fills in the form and clicks the submit button the form is not being received by us. I have checked the spam mail and they are not in there. I have checked the form settings and nothing has changed. I am missing out on business due to this. How do I get someone to look at it and fix it?

Unfortunately I'm afraid at this stage it is way too late Drew. Nothing has changed, the website still is virtually functionless and I personally have lost some 15% of my clients in the past two weeks. And irrespective of the sheer volume of complaints that you guys seem to receive about a seemingly endless array of topics nothing of value is addressed, compensations are not offered and the websites remain borderline useless.
There is no billing issue to discuss in fact the one thing that is working flawlessly is homesteads ability to deduct my payment without any delay or hiccough. That part is working perfectly. (That by the way is a fact and not sarcasm so please don't remove my comment...again).

There is an alternative. www.mycontactform.com  You all could use it either long term or until this mess is over. I've used it for years on my site and client sites and never had an issue.
