Does anyone else see a large discrepancy in traffic to their store and why?. When I look at numbers in analytics they show traffic to my store at about 2/3 higher then whats seen in the homestead store tracking. For example Ive seen where store front shows traffic in low 20S and google shows in 40s for the same days. Any ideas why?

Hi Russell -

Thanks for writing in!

What specific stats are you looking at in your Google Analytics and Storefront? If you're looking at Unique Visitors in the Storefront "search summary" report, it will only count the number of unique visitors to a store. A "visit" is defined as a search conducted by a unique IP address on a "per day" basis. If that IP address conducts multiple searches in one day, that is only counted as one visit. I'm not sure which stat you're looking at in Google, but they may be counting repeat visitors or people who simply view your site. Storefront only counts a visit if someone does a search on your site. If someone simply goes to your home page and doesn't click anywhere else, it will not be counted.

Hope that clears things up for you!
