So after 20 years of being with Homestead, I am still having issues with saving and publishing pages. When will this issue finally go away?

I am not able to save and publish. This problem has come and gone and returned for the 20 years that I have been with you.

Yea. They suggested that I move my websites to their Cloud platform. I deeply dislike the new platform. I would like to start out with a blank page rather than one of their page designs. That simple option is not available. As it is I am deciding whether to stay with Homestead or move on.

You are utilizing the older software and you do have an extremely large numbers of files and pages, moving to the new software would definitely benefit you.

Unfortunately the opening template does not allow for a blank template but once you are in the builder you can add a new blank page and delete any unwanted template pages.

I just got off the phone with Homestead. Now I can't even log into their website even though I had logged in several times today. They say it is my browser (Chrome) though I know that it is not my browser. I think I am about to unsubscribe from Homestead.

I apologize, I am unable to replicate this issue of not being able to get logged in and there are no other reports of this. I am able to access your account without and roadblocks. Do you get any error messages? If not, try running a virus scan, clear your cache and cookies and/or try using another browser.

No error messages, the Log in button just does not work. I did a complete system virus scan and I cleared out cookies. At this point I am about done with this nonsense.

The log in button is fully functional, I have tried it from multiple browsers. This definitely sounds like it may be an issue with your device. I do apologize again but unfortunately all we can recommend at this point is to try logging in from a different device.

I have tried logging in to numerous saved sites and have had no issue. It is solely the Homestead link that does not work. I find it hard to believe that when every other site with the sole exception of the Homestead login is due to an issue at my end.

For troubleshooting purposes have you tried to log in from a different device?

I finally regained access to my website but still cannot save and publish. I don't like being forced to use a template on the new Cloud technology that has nothing to do with my content. And since I cannot save and publish what is the use of continuing with Homestead.

I re-gained access to the website after doing a Deep scrub. The saving and publishing issue remains. I was told by one of your managers that it is because the technology that I originally purchased is now considered outdated by Homestead. The issue with transferring to the Cloud technology is that I am forced to start with a template that has no connection to the content of my websites. Under the "old" technology, one could start with a blank page. A major oversight with the new technology.

I do understand that you would like a blank page option and I can send some feedback about that request. The templates are in place to assist customers who have no idea where to start, this provides a layout you can choose to follow or stray from slightly and still produce a nice website. Blank pages are mostly used by web developers who are a little bit more skilled in building sites and as Homestead focuses on small business's this unfortunately was not implemented in the new builder. However, once you have chosen a template, you can delete any default pages and get a blank page by going to pages, add a page and select add blank page.
