UPDATE 10/14/2015: At this time we are still aware and working to have most of the Sitebuilder Plus issues resolved. When loading into Sitebuilder, it is important to know you will be prompted to choose Local or Published copy. Choosing local copy will load any recent changes you have made with the site, and choosing Published copy will load what is currently published. 

Unfortunately, you will be prompted to load every file with the website with either these options. Once you are in the Sitebuilder, you should be able to start making edits and are able to publish changes. However, we are still investigating the issue with Sitebuilder Plus loading broken images. Despite the images not loading in Sitebuilder Plus, published changes will display the picture as intended. If you do encounter a server error, please wait a few minutes and try again.

Our developers are still working diligently to have these issues resolved, and again, do appreciate your patience.

We are currently in the process of implementing an update with Homestead. During this period, you may experience issues with Sitebuilder. As we are aware of these issues, we do ask and thank you for your patience during this time.

Thank you, Todd. I came here to the help area because after setting my new site up for the Google Analytic and having everything changed to sitebuilder plus, It will not load. I was hoping someone had some sort of answer...and you did. Thank you. I'll try to edit my site later.

What a mess things are.  Need to update my site since yesterday and can't.  And I can't get thought to tech support or even find the phone #.  The number I have takes me to an offer for a medical alert system WTF.  What number can I call to reach someone??????

Todd, you probably want to put this on your System Status Blog. I was having problems with saving and publishing my site (very slow) and looked at the Help|System Status link. It only had entries from July.

Now my pictures are gone off of my site, and it's not displaying anything but an "x" box when I try to upload new content. Can we sue for lost revenue?

Second day for me too. I was chatting with a support agent. She sent me here. I then asked why I was sent here. Was there a fix. because all I saw as others having difficulties. She then tells me there is currently no fix. I found it odd that she'd send me here....rather then stating upfront that there is currently no fix. FYI...save your efforts!! I will tell you, there is currently NO fix.

I too have spent hrs and paid employees to work on this and to find that there was a update that could cause this mess leaves me very likely to do something else with my site.....I am furious and very unhappy........

I had just had an extensive chat session about deleting something, was never told about this problem. When I went back to Help, "Chat" is now offline. No notice, now discussion or warning. When I first decided to use Homestead for this current website it was at the time of their last "upgrade" with plenty of irate customers left to their own devices and no help from the company at all, except the volunteers on this site. This really is no way to treat customers. How the heck can people do business??????

A customer service tip: LET YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW AHEAD OF TIME. THIS COSTS REVENUE AND OUR CUSTOMERS AND CLIENTS. How can you do this to people so unconsciously?

Did what you said, clicked on everything and chose the published copy - cannot update my site because many of the pictures are missing.  What do I do?  I have an update that must get done today!  I followed the steps and spent time clicking on all the pictures and selecting the published copy - but that apparently did not work!  Thank you.

At the very least a banner on the page when you log in would be appreciated. I wouldn't mind so dang much if I had been told yesterday that you guys were running an update and there might be some issues today. I've tried several times to get in today thinking it was my internet when it was your issues. Wasted time is money and shows a real lack of understanding for your customers. Updates need to happen and bugs are inevitable, but communication goes a long way!
I told my customers that they would have information available on my website today.
:(   #lostcustomers&revenue... sighhhh

Just a repeat of last years fiasco!  Try to do updates a few minutes ago and now it wants me to update every file.  Could you not at least let your customers know this was going to happen and give us a timeline, so those of us who need to make changes could have done so.  If I treated my clients, the way you at Homestead do, they would leave me!!!   We pay your bills and wages treat us with a little respect and common courtesy. Is this to much to ask for?

 Plus the fact that we have over 8,000 items and do you really expect us to load each one when the page only stays open for around 5 minutes and then shuts down. You will have to do better than that!!  LBR

why can't homestead have the courtesy to give their "valued" customers some advance warning when they pull these stunts.  Let us know so we can prepare and update our sites beforehand.  This is not the first time homestead has pulled this crap.  very frustrating!!!!!!

Well you lot have done it again. We knew it wouldn't last very long before we couldn't use our web site. We have a great idea "FIX IT AND LEAVE IT ALONE". We can not open our site. FIX IT OR REFUND LOST REVENUES. Dave, LBR Enterprises,llc

I keep getting a 502 error that says web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server. Have no clue what that means but I'm hoping it has something to do with whatever you are working on. Would it be possible to get an e-mail or something when it's back up and running? Thanks!

I am unable to edit my website - I get 502 Webserver received an invalid response ... and other error messages when I try.
Is this a known issue that is being worked?

Yeah this is not cool.  I actually use my site for my job, and it needs to be updated with a DAILY schedule for my workers.  And I can't do it, so my people don't know where they are working tomorrow now.  Fix the bug or roll it back so we can update our sites please.

An unscheduled update in the middle of the day?  I don't think so! No SERIOUS provider would do that during primetime, right? We (paying customers) need a truthful answer. True failure or dumb action on your part?  (Jeopardy theme is playing)

I would like to be notified when this is done. Next time it would be great to receive a warning, so that we can alert our customers in advance. Our customer know us, not you!

They don't care!


We have several THOUSAND photos posted over hundreds of pages, and it is asking me if EACH PHOTO should be local or downloaded from the existing web site.  Really!!!!!! You've got to be kidding.

So I clicked to synchronize my hundreds of files and pictures...accidentally clicked the close button...rebooted Sitebuilder and had to start ALL over with synchronizing...Whose the genius behind this latest "upgrade"????
Yes, I noticed that too.  If you stop and leave to do something else and sign back in, it starts all over!!!!!!!!!

I for one, am glad... This is the first time, in a long time Homestead seems to be actually trying to update their stuff. I'm not sure if it's too little too late for me but it's a long time coming. Now, responsive design, mobile option in the builder and drop down menus and you'll be most of the way there.

Oh and the ability to hand code without losing everything. For me, it might not come fast enough but for those planning on sticking with Homestead. Welcome to the modern web.... we hope.

And in the mean time all OUR customers are calling US asking where THEIR updates are. Sorry, but customers DO NOT accept that it is someone else's fault. They pay us, and I will probably end up doing payment forgiveness due to this. I MISSED MY CUSTOMERS DEADLINES.
