No, this did NOT help.  I can add only one blank page, which I have already used.
It won't let me use a second blank page.......

Hi Jim,  It will let you ad as man as you wish. You just need to change the name from "blank" to something new.

    How can a add a sub-page to a page?.

I would like to add a page to an existing page, for example: http://example.com/page1/page2.html but the only way I can find for adding pages is to have them show as http://example.com/page1.html and then http://www.example.com/page2.html.

I'm not paying anybody for SEO as I feel that it's absurd to do so, and not having the ability to have sub-pages is detrimental to SEO.

Do any of you know if I can do this on Homestead, or should I just learn and use Wordpress. This service is becoming frustrating, although it's easier than anything I've used before.

How to add new page style for new pages..

When you create a new page you get to choose a style template or blank page. How do I add to the page style list so I can choose the same style for many pages without having to recreate the page from scratch every time?

    • 184,698 Points 100k badge 2x thumb
    Edward4119,

When you get to step #3 above, you have the choice of choosing one of the template pages, or a blank page. Just choose one of the template pages.

    Mike
    Photo of Edward4119

    Edward4119

How do you make a new template to choose from is the question.
    Photo of Mike F.

    Mike F., Alum

    • 184,698 Points 100k badge 2x thumb
You can't choose a new template unless you start a whole new site. If you are wanting to mix pages of two different templates into one site that is not possible. Choosing a new template will completely wipe out your site, but if you wish to do so, you will find the option on the Websites Manager page after you log in.

No, not trying to change the website template. I want to add a page style to choices in step 3 above. I don't want to have to choose blank page every time and the index style is not what I want either. I need to make a new style so I don't have edit every new page with hundreds of changes.
    Photo of Mike F.

    Mike F., Alum

    • 184,698 Points 100k badge 2x thumb
The only choice is to choose "blank" or, one of the other template pages in the drop-down menu, or design one from scratch.

    Photo of Mike F.

That is what you would generally use "blank" for. To start completely from scratch just select all content on the page and click the delete button and you'll have a clean slate to start with.

    Edward4119

There's no cost to change, and no, you won't lose anything. The big difference is that the Plus version is web based so it just runs in your web browser instead of actually being installed on your computer.

If you are in the middle of making any updates, go ahead and save and publish your changes. Then log out and log back in. When you get to the Websites Manager page, you'll see that the blue Edit button will now open SB+.

If you run into any problems or need help let us know. It functions almost the exact same way as the desktop version but the menu at the top has been redesigned so it takes a little while to learn the new layout.

Ok, 2 things, 1. It no longer allows me to log in using my computer's sitebuilder so i can't publish the changes, so all changes are now lost?

    2. Same question as before. How do i make a new page style option for the new page drop down? The only options are blank, index, about us, and events. I want to create a new one called articles that i can use for the many article i plan to publish.
    Photo of Mike F.

    Mike F., Alum

    • 184,698 Points 100k badge 2x thumb
I'll revert it back, so that you can publish your changes. Reply back here after you are done and then I'll restore SB+ again.

To start a new page, you will click the View Page button on SB+ and you'll see a link on the Dropdown menu.

    Ok, I have published it.
But i don't think you are understanding my question.
I know how to create a new page. But I want to make that new page using a style that isn't on the drop down list. I don't want to choose blank, index, about us, or events. How do I make a new style that I can save so i can create other new pages that can use that same new style?
    Photo of Mike F.

    Mike F., Alum

    • 184,698 Points 100k badge 2x thumb
Your only choices are to use one of the options in the drop-down menu, or start with a blank page. If you are trying to use a page/design from a different template that is not possible. Perhaps explain to me what you mean by "style".

Well i would like certain menus in certain places. Headers, text ect. Without having to start with a blank page for the 100s of article i plan to post.
    Photo of Mike F.

    Mike F., Alum

    • 184,698 Points 100k badge 2x thumb
The best thing to do is choose one of the options from the drop-down menu, that is the closest in style to what you are looking for. Then simply delete any elements that you don't want. You can then add additional navigation menus, text boxes, images etc. in any location you wish.

If your are wanting to create something with a completely different design or color scheme, then it may be best to start with a blank page and build it from scratch.

I was afraid of that, None of them are close. That means dozens of changes for each of dozens of new pages. And then anytime i want to make 1 change to all the pages i have to edit them all. There should be a save new style page option. Should not be that hard to code.

I thought you were using Sitebuilder Lite.  If you are in desktop, click on the navigation menu on the page.  On the right side you will see the properties editor.  Go to the links tab and you can add a link to the menu by clicking the little picture of the link at the top right of the link list box.

Randolph7337,  when you get to step # 3 above, it will give you an option to start with a blank page.  If the base template has elements, on it you don' wish to use and you want it 100% blank, you can do a "Ctrl +a"  and press the delete button to delete any unwanted elements.  Then if the background needs to be changed you will do that under the Page Settings button.

Let me know if you still have questions or need help with any of the steps.
