If you believe this topic should not have been archived, please let us know, and we would be happy to review it. You may continue to access this topic as needed fo
We understand smaller websites are easier to get through this if you are asked to choose either Local or Published copy, but if you do have a large website and are having issues getting beyond this screen please continue to post them here with your domain name. Thank you everyone for your diligent patience.
UPDATE 10/15/2015: Into the night we did experience more server related issues that was causing the issues to start happening again. It does seem right now that a lot of these problems are clearing up again, but our staff is monitoring closely. While this is going on, we are asking if you still having issues with Sitebuilder to post the issues here so we can make sure we are not missing anything.
UPDATE 10/14/2015: At this moment, it does appear that most of the issues with loading Sitebuilder Plus have cleared up. This includes broken images that were displayed inside, any server errors, or even loading Sitebuilder Plus.
If the Sitebuilder asks you to load the local or published copy, selecting Local copy would be ideal unless you specifically wish to load what is currently published.
If you run into any other problems, please post them here so we can take a look and make sure all issues are in fact cleared up.
Again, we extremely appreciate everyone's patience through this.

UPDATE 10/14/2015: At this time we are still aware and working to have most of the Sitebuilder Plus issues resolved. When loading into Sitebuilder, it is important to know you will be prompted to choose Local or Published copy. Choosing local copy will load any recent changes you have made with the site, and choosing Published copy will load what is currently published.
Unfortunately, you will be prompted to load every file with the website with either these options. Once you are in the Sitebuilder, you should be able to start making edits and are able to publish changes. However, we are still investigating the issue with Sitebuilder Plus loading broken images. Despite the images not loading in Sitebuilder Plus, published changes will display the picture as intended. If you do encounter a server error, please wait a few minutes and try again.
Our developers are still working diligently to have these issues resolved, and again, do appreciate your patience.
10/13/2015
We are currently in the process of implementing an update with Homestead. During this period, you may experience issues with Sitebuilder. As we are aware of these issues, we do ask and thank you for your patience during this time.

MINE IS OceanMuseum.org and is not working either. I'm getting the same problem I complained about last night and spoke to people about today. WE AVE THOUSANDS OF PHOTOS POSTED. It would take days to approve every photo whether using the Posted or the local. Its irrelevant.

Todd:
The fix worked. But when I logged out and back in, It started asking to approve each photo again. Whatever you did, it is only a temporary fix. If you log out (actually I completely closed my IE) and back in the same problem returns.

Yeah, that only works if you have like 20 pictures on your site. If you have any serious number of pictures, forget about it. The site times out long before you get to the end

Site Builder keeps shutting down in the MIDDLE of my changes! I have customers complaining about seeing things on our website that are no longer available & not knowing that we carry certain items. Well, that's because I CAN'T UPDATE THE SITE!!!! This, in addition to our email sessions logging out almost as soon as you log in, is getting to be a little bit more than ridiculous!

1) The first thing that pops up is "Oops! Your request failed due to a network or server issue. Try again,
and if it still doesn't work, call us at: 1-800-710-1998.(Error Code:
0x28)" before the page loads up
2) Half the pictures on the page are not there - publish and they are there - but not on Sitebuilder.
SO I have concluded the following:
A. Gremlins got into the system overnight and undid the "fixes" we were told about late yesterday
B. No fixes were permanently done before the debugging staff had to knock off, buy a case of Black Label and watch the Royals-Astros
C. I should just throw in the towel and look for a new site to work with.

Currently, I can log onto the website now without have the synced file issue. Once I am into Site Builder, I can not see my changes only in the preview mode. When I go to publish the changes they do not load and therefore I am still seeing my pages without the updates/changes. For reference here are the links:
Home/Index Page
When I publish this is what I am getting - this information has not been changed to reflect the changes on the preview screen
- http://pregnancyconcepts.homestead.com/index.html?_=1444940044799
This is what is on the preview screen (which is the new updated version of the home/index page - http://pregnancyconcepts.homestead.com/~local/~Preview/index.html?_=1444940835858 - this is the information that should be published
Resources Page
When I publish this is what I am getting - this information has not been changed to reflect the changes on the preview screen
http://pregnancyconcepts.homestead.com/Resources.html?_=1444941415782
This is what is on the preview page (which is the new update version of the resources page - http://pregnancyconcepts.homestead.com/~local/~Preview/Resources.html?_=1444941209708 - this is the information that should be published.

I am still having the same issue. In fact, this morning when I logged in, I was hoping that everything would have been fixed, What I discovered was that I had to sync my files again. After going through that process, I then realized that my site was still not fixed. I am still on hold with sending out my newsletter because my site contains old content. When will this matter be fixed? I am literally on hold with updating my content and days are going by and business is being lost.
Will Homestead prorate customers payments so that we are paying for only the days where our websites are functionally working?
This is a nightmare for businesses. As yes, I do think that we [the customers] appreciate you posting an update on the status of the issue. We [the customers] would appreciate it more if our websites were working properly and if the technical staff could quickly fix our issues. The delay [or the amount of time this taking] in fixing the problem kind of seems like the technical staff at Homestead has no clue of what is going on nor how to fix the problem. Just think of all of the business Homestead would lose if there was a technical problem with their website and how outraged this company would be...Homestead customers are feeling that way now. We really need to have this matter fixed with more urgency!
Please refer to the email thread above this message that contains information on where I am having problems with my website. You [or someone else on the technical team] can certainly contact me if you need additional information to help you with fixing my problem.
I would really like these issues fixed so that I can send out my newsletter sometime this weekend. I am hoping that we [the customers] do not have to go into next week experiencing these same problems. Thanks

No Todd---my site WILL NOT LOAD. I cannot get in to make changes TODAY. YESTERDAY I did finally get in after reloading all my files. Of course I used the published option. Now today I see a message telling everyone that the recommended mode should have been LOCAL. So I have no idea what that is going to cause me. Really unhappy with you guys.

At bare minimum, there should be some kind of banner across the login pages that says they are doing updates and that clients will likely experience difficulties. I've wasted too much time this time around trying to fix unfixable problems. How about some advance warning so we can save our files before losing our work to some update?
Think about this: Do you own or rent your website? If you cannot pack up your files and move to another host, you are a renter, and do not own your website. I would rather build something I own, than build a perpetual income stream for an absentee landlord.

My patience is wearing very thin and this has stressed me out to max! Please be honest and let me know if I'll be able to work on this site today or do I need to look to your competitors? I have been sending these messages for days with no response.
Michael6335
Like others, I immediately go to the "Synchronize File" sub-screen. I have three choices: Download Published Copy, Keep Local Copy or X. Each of these selections including X simply steps to the next file to be synchronized. There are hundreds of these and I won't step through them. My time is better spent re-designing the site elsewhere if that's my only choice. But I digress. You can also select View Published (which gives me an image of the file) or View Local (which gives me "500 Internal server error."). The ONLY WAY OUT OF THIS INFINITE LOOP is to x-out of the server window, which causes a logout from Homestead. There really should be a better way to abort this screwed situation. Like I said, you are so far the only one to respond to anyone here, but it's simply not good enough. Escalate to your boss's boss immediately or you will lose many many customers. I've been with Homestead for 10 years but this may easily be my last if this is not fixed.

First time on this forum so bear with me. My issue is that Sitebuilder takes 14 minutes to open with Windows 10. Yes, 14 minutes. I have a large web site but when I was running it on Vista, it took less than a minute to open. I tried troubleshooting the compatibility to both Vista and XP which we once had but neither sped up opening the program much at all. (Okay, 12 minutes instead of 14, but still...)
Any suggestions would be welcome....
