UPDATE 10/16/2015: It appears that most of the server related issues have been resolved and are cleared up. We are still monitoring to make sure nothing else causes more disruption. The website files do need to be resynchronized with the server, so choosing Local File would be ideal to bypass this. Once you have clicked and selected for all of the files on your website, click your website name at the top right corner, click File Manager, and click the Refresh button found towards the top.
We understand smaller websites are easier to get through this if you are asked to choose either Local or Published copy, but if you do have a large website and are having issues getting beyond this screen please continue to post them here with your domain name. Thank you everyone for your diligent patience.


UPDATE 10/15/2015: Into the night we did experience more server related issues that was causing the issues to start happening again. It does seem right now that a lot of these problems are clearing up again, but our staff is monitoring closely. While this is going on, we are asking if you still having issues with Sitebuilder to post the issues here so we can make sure we are not missing anything.


UPDATE 10/14/2015:
At this moment, it does appear that most of the issues with loading Sitebuilder Plus have cleared up. This includes broken images that were displayed inside, any server errors, or even loading Sitebuilder Plus.

If the Sitebuilder asks you to load the local or published copy, selecting Local copy would be ideal unless you specifically wish to load what is currently published.

If you run into any other problems, please post them here so we can take a look and make sure all issues are in fact cleared up.

I was publishing the page I changed and the software locked up and would not respond. I back out of that page with my browser and tried to go back to it and the software tells me that the local file and the published file are different and asks me whether I want to keep the local file or download the published file. I have tried both to simply get back in to my page editing and neither are fixing the problem. I still cannot get in to the edit mode on my web page with this web editing software.

Please help!!! I have been unable to log in to my site for 4 days now. My site is just about finished and I am really frustrated! I've been waiting paitently but need to get this done. I have also cleared my cache and cookies, I am getting pop up about local file which I select per your prior post and then I get a 404 error page not found or a 500 internal error. OK, this is ridiculous! Have customers calling me wanting to see the updated site. I have a least 10 pages of photos and, so pressing that "keep local" button for the rest of the night is justplain stupid! Who's to say that will even work after I get through all thoses pics. Now I am very angry and need some help!!.

Trying to put new pictures on Papillon page.  It comes up with a box that says something like published page or  _____.   I can not get the page to pull up to delete old pictures and install the new ones.  Need a phone number to call and talk to a real person.

When I try to get into the website, I get synchronization problem messages. From the "preview" website, I get pictures from my gallery; from the "local" preview, I get a 500 internal Server Error display. What can I do? I need to get to work!!

I am finally able to upload, but still problems.  When I make changes, the new page is not like the old one.  Check out all the problems this update has caused, and don't feel alone.  Not that that is any consolation.

The issue is not fixed. Two days in a row I have had to reload every file in order to get into my web site. After I reload every file---Yes I can go in and make changes.  As soon as I log out --the issue will occur again. From reading other peoples comments this seems to be happening to many people. I just do not have the time to do all this extra work to access my web site. I would appreciate an honest reply. I would appreciate an update when the problem is really fixed.

I have a problem, but not as bad as before.  I have one page called -blank.  I use that to create new pages, just do a "save as" and it gives me a new page that I can re-title once I add content.  Now when I do the save as, it reverts to an old layout with a logo that I have not used in well over a year.

3 out of my 5 active sites are having the sync file issues.  secure-lane, onewayspikes, and barriergatearm.  Can you please help me fix this. I can't access my sites. Is there a fix to this or not?  I am so confused as to what is going on.

When the updates were implemented, the server did go offline for a moment and now that we are trying to access the Sitebuilder again, it is asking to sync the files to ensure we're loading the site correctly. Can I have you take a look at these sites for me?

Todd, please help. I was able to update brendamhampton.com, but my other site www.bheevents.homestead.com needs to be updated fast! The page is still showing the synchronizing box, where I can't do a thing. It's been 4 days now, and anything you can do on your end would be much appreciated.

When I try to edit, it asks if i want to use the published or local. When I select either one, it starts showing where my pictures were uploaded from and never allow me access to edit.

HI this is not working I have tried that on my sites by selection local and it doesn't work.  Been 4 days now and going into the weekend.  I hope Homestead will not just close up shop and leave us stranded for the weekend.

Yes nothing has changed in the past 4 days still same question.  The local and published versions of this file are different. Both files have changed.

still not working and I have thousands of files and pics can not sit there and click on each file.  Please when is this issue going to be fixed?  It doesn't work weather you ask for local or published still the same issue.  I do hope and pray that the Homestead team is staying on this throughout the weekend and don't leave their paying clients stranded!!!

I have been having all of the same Site Builder problems as everyone else, but mine just got a little worse! Now I have 2 pages that I can't even work on because the editing tabs for them are gone! My site looks horrible! I can only make some changes, some of the time & that's only if the site builder doesn't shut down in the middle of an edit! 

Are these problems EVER going to be resolved? Todd H? What do you have for this one? I'm sure you can load my site & have refreshed all of the files & I should try again, but I've been trying for four days now...not to mention the past 6 months that Site Builder has been sketchy & locking up! I'm sure you're hating life right now with all of the people who are clearly PO'd, but I don't understand why this is so hard for your company to fix. You are a web host for goodness sake! I'm not asking you to build my site & maintain it, just make sure that I am able to!!!!!!!

Sitebuilder Desktop...I guess. All it says is Homestead Sitebuilder. The editing tabs for our Contact Us & Specials pages are missing.

I have been able to load into your Sitebuilder, refreshed files, and have tested this on multiple computers. Please make sure your cache and cookies are cleared before loading back into Homestead. Let us know if you are still not able to bypass the sync.

Hello, I wrote the original note. I went to chat. My problem was synchronization. Emptying your cache and cookies was an essential step before this worked. My website is now functioning well. It seems to me that it was about the same process as reloading a page except that the entire website needed to be reloaded. Thanks to all of you who wrote and thanks to support for having an answer. If you are unable to get your website to work, I recommend getting online with chat and working it through with one person. Be sure you have your PIN number. You can find it in your stuff when you log in. Have a great weekend, everyone.
