One of my domains has gotten fairly large and now when I try and add new images it freezes the builder I need to go into my computer resources and manually end the program. It is only for the 1 domain. Others all work fine. I tried moving parts into new folders etc but just left me with pages cannot be found so moved everything back. I need to add new inventory and not sure how to at this point.  http://www.emstshirts.com

It sounds like you are using the downloadable program, Sitebuilder Desktop. I am not sure how you were able to create a site in this program last year, as we haven't been creating new sites in Sitebuilder Plus for almost 2 years. I would highly recommend you no longer use that program as it is outdated and not compatible with much these days. I would also recommend going through your account and deleting anything you no longer need. This includes images, files, and pages on any of your sites, or even sites you are no longer using.

Another recommendation I have would be to start building your sites in our newer builder, Website Builder. This is our most updated and fastest builder.

I have been using my desktop builder for over 20 years with no problems. I gave trying to build sites a go with the new template formats and builder so phone ready but gave it up after numerous tries getting me nowhere. Also I went through that domain deleting anything not needing to be online but there was nothing to speak of as it's all pretty new. My other new site firefightertshirts.net being smaller has no issues.

Yes, this program has been around for over 20 years and website building and the internet in general has advanced so much that this program is quite outdated. I understand that you have been using it successfully, but more and more, it will stop working as well as it used to. The program, like Internet Explorer, is still available for those who still use it, but it is not supported or updated. I do recommend giving the newer builder another try. You can call and have one of our representatives walk you through the basics, there are a number of tutorials here on Community, and just taking some time to look around the builder is a great help. It would be an improvement for your sites.

I see you have several sites on your account that you do not have domains on, some that haven't been updated or used for years. These are the sites I would recommend looking at and deleting if you can. It is taking up space and slowing down your account, so larger sites like the one you are referring to might have issues.
I will refresh the files on that site to clear any cache on our end, which might help.

Ok thanks. I thought that each site was separate that's why I didn't delete others so will do that. There are some though that were connected to an old domain that would not let me delete them as I did try to clean it up some once before. The rest that are now obsolete are all within the last 2 years so I'll see about getting rid of them.

As for tutorials it would have been nice if they were connected to the builder as I read what I could find on there but it was of little help. 20 years later and I know as much about building sites as I did 20 years ago haha.

I definitely understand! Many of the tutorials are fairly new, so if you go to community.homestead.com and search "Website Builder" a number of articles will pop up. Take your time and post any questions you can't find answers to.

Elyzabeth, just for your info, after cleaning up I still had the same issues. After dissecting through things looking for possible causes I found 2 of the images were gifs, not jpeg. When I changed those two images using paint to jpeg and deleting the gifs all is back to normal working order. No idea why but seems maybe just need to avoid the gifs.
