my site is unavailable. no one can get to it. I called Homestead and they told me that they have fixed the problem and that the site would be available in 24 hours. That was 3 days ago. Unacceptable. I've been with Homestead for years and if this isn't fixed pronto, I'm going elsewhere.

Denis, You may need to look at the link below. Domain name is on Client Hold, which means its suspended for some reason, usually because you haven't responded to a verification email.

Denise, Brian's link will fix your issue. Your domain was suspended by ICANN

I am sorry if you have had other issues, but these regulations pertain to all domains at all companies. This is not specific to Homestead.

To be honest Denise, as Drew has mentioned, ICANN is the registrar of domain names and it is they, not Homestead that have pulled the plug so to speak. I have a domain through yahoo since 1999 and I still have to verify my details to ICANN. ICANN cannot close my website down, what they do is suspend the domain name from pointing to a website. So you will need to think of an alternative to getting important emails mixed in with tons of others. Homestead provide multiple emails I have one for customers, one for enquiries and a personal email through Homestead for important communications I don't want to miss. It works well for me. I am sure ICANN will be able to resolve the ID issues. Good Luck
