In the new websitebuilder is the Site Error page automatically added? If so, where is it so we can redesign it to match our own design? If not, do we just add it by creating a page titled Site Error 404?

HI Susan I am given to understand it IS automatic.. BUT... as it is considered good practice to put links back to your index page, then you have a point... Maybe it does, lets see what Drew/Todd come up with

The new builder does not require a 404 page. Search engine like a 404 page if it can detect a time it would come up, like a misspelled page name. In the case of the new builder, if the page does not exist, then the system will send the visitor to the home page, so it is not possible to see a 404 on the new builder sites. Does that make sense?

Thanks Drew. It makes sense in that I understand what you're saying, just not sure I like the concept. Can't say I've run into that before. Normally when a person lands on a 404 it tells them why they're there and gives them alternatives of how to get where they want to go. I guess tossing them to the home page would serve a similar purpose - sort of. Is this the way all the cloud based programs are designed now?

I am not 100% sure what all the other companies do.

I think it was a good move as many customers didn't keep the page on their site and then it had to default to the Homestead error page which actually navigated them off of your site.
