Should the title of mobile index page match the title of desktop index page or will search engines see a duplicate content issue if they match?

If you have made a Dudamobile site through your Homestead account, then there should not be an issue with duplicate content as the domain is the same.

Hey Drew,

I didn't use Duda to create my mobile site. I used the desktop sitebuilder, 320 pixel wide, proper redirect code, etc.

What I'm curious about is the following. My desktop index page has a title. The mobile index page has the exact same title but does not contain the exact same content as the desktop index. The desktop index has a script that redirects mobile visitors to the mobile index.

I have 2 index pages, desktop and mobile with slightly different presentation of content but the exact same title. Will that cause any problems or duplicate content issues? Or should I change the mobile index title to something close but not exactly the same?

It should not make a difference. Search engines are pretty good at connecting the dots and they still do understand that people sometimes use more than 1 domain. They certainly understand a mobile site as well. It certainly should not hurt to change things a little if you like, but should not be necessary.
