I'd like to scroll text - I read that I have to use HTML.  However I want to have the scroll happen lower in the page and not across the entire page.  Like this site:  http://www.ssheatingcooling.com/AboutUs.html

How do I do this??

Thank you!!

You can drag the html box anywhere on the page. html can also be used to set the width of the box to constrain is to the dimensions you wish.

Drew

Hi Drew - I am confused now as I never had a text BOX.  I typed in the html with my text and it appeared when I hit 'preview' - but again, I had no box.

I read another one of your replies to another person about adding a text box where you stated:

If you want to add text, but you don't want the text box to grow as large as the text, then you will have to use HTML code.  This code will create a fixed size box that will have a scroll bar on the right.  You can change the height and width in the code to suit your needs.

<div style="height:120px;width:120px;border:1px solid #ccc;font:16px/26px Georgia, Garamond, Serif;overflow:auto;">

I need some more info as I'm not proficient with html.  Am I inserting the above html?  And then what?  Where do I insert my text?

I need some html directions for dummies.

THANK YOU

That is a different scroll. Your text moves from right to left. In the code you are looking at, the text does not move, but there is a scroll bar to scroll down to read all the text in the box. This is so you can fit extra text into a space too small to display it all.

You would use the width option to shrink or widen the space for the scrolling. Try this and change the width number and see how it changes.

<marquee class="html-marquee" direction="left" behavior="scroll" width="200"><img src="http://"> You message goes here</marquee>

I need an actual text box that I can place lower in the page...

How do I do that?

Thanks and sorry.

To use scrolling text everything has to be in an HTML box,not a text box. Text boxes do not have the ability to move text

ok - so how do I move an html box down so it is low - like halfway down the page....

and is starting from the right side and streaming to the left??

Are there directions somewhere I can consult so I don't keep bugging you?

Thanks again

Just add the HTML box to the page and then drag it to anywhere on the page you like. Then add your code.
