How can I rotate an image that I upload to a photo gallery if the image uploads sideways or upsidedown?

Hello,

The photo gallery does not have the ability to rotate the image. You would have to rotate the image on your computer before uploading it to the website.

William, This was not a solution to the problem we are having. I have rotated the image 4 different ways on my computer,  and reloaded at least 10 times with different photos. Homestead still loads ALL of my images the same way, upside down- regardless of how it is saved on my system. This is frustrating!!! I have buyers that want to look at my product but I cant get a simple photo to load properly. Please advise.

Some newer devices, mostly mobile, add code to the image that causes this issue. You will need to open the image in a program, like Paint, and make sure it is oriented correctly, then use the save as option to save the image as a new file type. If it is currently a jpg, change it to a png and then upload the new file to a page. Unfortunately, this is currently the only solution at this time. If you have a couple of images, you can post them here and we can take a look to be sure, but this has always worked in the past.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled every photo I upload is showing up sideways. How do I correct the position?.

My photos are sideways - how can I correct on my website?

If you can see Drew's message above, you'll want to save the images using the Save As feature. Saving them as a *.png usually helps.
