I have an old site built using SB Plus. How do I go about reactivating it?

Hi Martin,

I can see a site on your account called pearson.homestead.com and you can certainly access this from your websites manager tab in your Homestead account. The domain pearson.com seems to be registered with another company at this point. I'm not sure if this is you or someone else that has it registered. If it is you, you can point or transfer the domain to Homestead.

Okay, I have started a new site on the "new" builder called vote4pearson.com. I am having a hard time figuring out how to get it published....have jumped through all of the hoops and gotten as far as; "you have to rename your homepage "index" before you can publish...."

Hello,

The domain name did need to be reconnected and I did so with these instructions. https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/fixing-the-website-builder-404-error When you are ready to make the site go live, publish from the editor and it will appear online under vote4pearson.com.

Okay, on this same site, how do I go about renaming what is seen on the tab of a desktop machine? As it stands now it just says "Home".

Hello,

You can update the page title to adjust what is displayed in the tab. https://community.homestead.com/homestead/topics/websitebuilder-page-titles-and-descriptions

In relation to this same site. Now that I have made a new site with a different URL how do I go about making the old one go away, it is coming up on Google search with the homestead extension. Not good.

Here is the unwanted URL: http://pearson.homestead.com

Once you attach the domain to the new site you can (delete the old site if you want) then request google to re-crawl your site. This will allow them to scan your new information and update their search results.
