I am using the new Websitebuilder.
I understand from previous posts that I should ignore Meta Tags.  Is that right?

But can you quickly explain what to do with Keywords and Description  under  "Displayed in Browser Window / Tab    I know it has to do with what comes up in a search.

Thanks,

Dan

The keywords can be entered, but are ignored as a ranking factor by search engines.

The page title(name) is what will display in the browser tab and as the top line and link in the search engines. The description is what appears under the link in search results.

The title should be brief and describe a little about what would be found on that page. You might include your preferred contact method, like phone or email if you like. No 2 pages should have the same title.

The description should be a short description of the page content. More detail than the title, but not more that a couple sentences or so. As with titles, descriptions should be unique.

Does this help?
