Time difference with Tracking Stats
I'm noticing a small problem with the tracking of stats, . I am in EST so ahead by 3 hours of the time that shows. It says I am an hour behind, but instead of me being at 3:28pm, it shows I am entering in at 10:28am. something is wrong. I see some of my friends visit and it is in the middle of the night for them so I don't think it is just me. The Local time of page view and the page view Timestamp are both wrong. anyone else having this problm.

Unfortunately there is not a way to set your time zone with this stats provider. I am checking with them to see what zone they are displaying, and if there is a way we can implement a zone setting.

Hi Drew,
I think you may have misunderstood what I meant to say. I don't want to change the time zone at all. The time stamp on the tracker has been incorrect for today, it usually displays PST. Most days, with my EST I just add 3 hours and it is correct. today when I went in to show someone, the clock was wrong and said I entered at 10:38 and it was really 3:38. if it were correct, the timestamp would have said 12:38. if you have awebsite, go into click around and see if your local time entering is differnt than the "real" time.
thank you
donna

I am sorry, I see now. I have updated my inquiry. This is still an issue I need to send to the stats provider.

Well, I haven't heard anything from anyone else, so it might be something on your stats alone, but I have provided them your domain so they can check into the specific stats.

thank you. it's been correct right along so this is the first time the timestamp and clock seems "off". thanks again

Hi Donna9710, they are still looking into it, but they did say they made some changes concerning time and time zones, and that maybe they had made an error. They will let me know what happened when they have it worked out.

Thanks Drew, I appreciate the help. it seems like the local time of visit when I go into it myself testing it out, that my time logs in at 1 hour less than the PST and in really it it is noon here and not 8 am. also I notice I used to be able to rename a customer ID/Name with an actual name of any customer from Europe UK or Netherlands or other countries like Australia and New Zealand and now it doesn't show this capability nor if they are a new visitor or a continued visitor. Actually, the whole top section labeled "Visitor" section as labeled by them is missing on all countries except USA & Canada that I have looking at my website.  hope any of this helps and even if they can't fix it, i can just make an educated guess. thanks

So the stats from a bit earlier today and on, should reflect correctly. They did have an error that they have corrected and are looking into how it happened. Unfortunately, the stats from before may continue to show incorrectly.

Europe has new privacy laws coming into effect shortly and there are many things that may change in what can and can't be done. Which stats screen are you doing this? I can see if it is related to this.

That makes sense, new privacy law. I go into stats, then view last 100 visitors. I then look at each visitor page, each visitor is broken down into Visitor, Visitor profile, Technology used, referrer( like google or anothersearch engine) that is where I noticed that nothing shows for many foreign visitors in the Vistor sectionBut the Good news is...the timestamp and clock is now correct, with me being in EST I am 3 hours difference from their time in PST(correct as it should be) and the local time of visit is right also. thanks donna
